Beamsville figure skating club: Welcome

We are still accepting registrations for our 2011/2012Season!!!! Please visit us at the arena on Sunday's (2:30pm to 3:30pm) or Wednesday's (6pm to 8pm) to sign up.

Is your family or group of friends fans of Boston Pizza? If so, Skate Canada has joined with Boston Pizza to "give back" to local clubs just by submitting your dinner receipt into the Skate Canada box at your local restaurant!  Just write on the back of your receipt Beamsvile Figure Skating Club, put it in the box that has Skate Canada on it and then a % of the bill comes back to our club! How fantastic is that! Pass it on to all your friends and family members too, every little bit helps!

The BFSC offers 4 levels of skating. Our Canskate program is a learn to skate program where skaters are promoted at their own rate and encouraged to have fun! The program introduces skaters to the principles of jumping,speed,challenge,performance and saftey. These skills can be used for hockey, ringette, and figure skating. There are extra challenge skills at each of the 6 levels as well as awards and badges which are provided by the club. The Starskate program is a group lesson format that includes freeskate,skills,dance,4-star synchro and stroking. The Intermediate skaters must have a private coach and have completed one of the following: preliminary free skate;preliminary dances;preliminary skills or recommended by a coach. The Senior skaters have 10 minutes of stroking on each session and there is a mandatory participation of all skaters. Suggested criteria is as follows: must be minimum 12 years of age and 2 of the following 3: completed junior bronze skills;completed junior bronze freeskate;completed senior bronze dances or recommendation by a coach.
