7th Grade Falcons Defeated by Germantown Junior Hawks
In a battle of the birds to end the season, the 7th Grade Brown Deer Falcons lost a heartbreaker to the Germantown Junior Hawks by a score of 0-24.
Some nice kick returns and runs by Kennedy McGuigan, Josh Mallet, and Charles Gregory. Some Ryan Hudson throws were caught by Stephen Lay & Charles Gregory. But these were not enough for the Falcons to make any meaningful movement down the field.
On the defensive side, Greg Okray, Derrick Benton, Ben Schwartz, Austin Schwark, and Richard (whose last name I do not know) tried their best to keep the Germantown offense out of the end zone, but it was not enough.
Kennedy McGuigan was injured in the last few minutes of the game when he was downed with a severe hamstring strain. Paramedics were called, but he was cleared at the ER later that day.

Thanks to the entire 7th grade Falcons team and the coaches for a wonderful season; they finish with a 4-3-1 record.

7th Grade Falcons Lose to West Allis Badgers
The 7th Grade Brown Deer Falcons lost a difficult one to the West Allis Badgers on Saturday by a score of 6-20. This Saturday saw three players sidelined: Ben Fuja (broken arm), Kevin Autman (secondary concussion), and Kennedy McGuigan (knee sprain).
The game included some strong offensive plays, including some nice carries by Alec Harmeyer, Ethan Williams, Stephen Lay, Charles Gregory, Kaine Thomas, and Josh Mallet.
A pass by Ryan Hudson to Carl Perkins resulted in the Falcons’ only touchdown. Another Hudson pass to Stephen Lay got the Falcons some much-needed yardage.
Some decisive defensive tackles were made by Austin Schwark, Randy Gregory, Greg Okray, Carl Perkins, Alec Harmeyer, Chris Jones, Noah Ortiz, Jalin Roberson, and Charles Gregory,

7th Grade Falcons Tie Greendale Panthers
In a game against the 5-0 Greendale Panthers, the Falcons led for 3-1/2
quarters, and ended in the only tie the Panthers have seen this season.
It was a battle of defensive lines as both teams knocked on the door for
touchdowns often, but (in most cases), the defensive lines held inside the
red zone, preventing a high-scoring game.
Early in the first quarter, a series of runs by Kennedy McGuigan put the
Falcons inside the 5 yard line. Josh Mallet finished the series with a
touchdown run to put the Falcons on top 6-0. The extra points kick was
blocked.
In the final seconds of the half, Chris Cooper prevented a possible Panther
touchdown with an interception inside the 5 yard line.
A 3+ minute Greendale drive in 4th quarter resulted in a touchdown. The
extra point was blocked, resulting in a game tied at 6-6.
A series of interceptions in the final minute of the game resulted in the
Falcons turning over to the Panthers who then turned over to the Falcons
and then back to the Panthers. During this turnover-fest, Chris Cooper
knocked down a Panther pass from 6 feet in the air, and Charles Gregory had
an interception for the Falcons.

games.
The next game is 10:30am on Saturday, October 18th on Brown Deer’s home
field. The 7th grade Falcons end the regular season at 4-1-1.

7th Grade Falcons Fall to the Generals
The 7th grade Falcons fell to the New Berlin Eisenhower Generals 6-28 at New Berlin this Saturday. Despite some good individual efforts, the Falcons were unable to overcome numerous fumbles and interceptions which gave advantages to the Generals throughout the game.
In the 2nd quarter, Stephen Lay stopped a Generals touchdown with an open field jump at the ankles of the Generals’ ball carrier which tripped him up. Still, the half ended with the Falcons down 0-14.
The Falcons prevented a shutout with a Chris Cooper handoff to Kennedy McGuigan for a 1-yard touchdown run late in the 4th quarter.

The next game is 10:30am on Saturday, October 11th at Greendale (6801 Southway, Greendale). The 7th grade Falcons are 4-1.

7th Grade Falcons Beat the Warriors
It was another hot summer’s day as the 7th Grade Falcons faced off against the Warriors of St. Francis. In a game that saw wide receiver Ben Fuja sidelined for the season with a broken arm, and was the last game for Gerardo Ramirez as a Falcon, the Falcons were victorious, beating the Warriors by a decisive score of 24-6.
In the first quarter, running touchdowns by Ethan Williams and Kennedy McGuigan were followed up by Ryan Hudson two-point kicks quickly brought the score to 16-0. In the second quarter, another Ethan Williams touchdown brought the score to 22-0 at the end of the half after the point after failed.
The third quarter started with a bang when a flock of Falcons forced a safety on the Warriors for 2 points. 24-0, Falcons! Unfortunately, the Falcons fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the Warriors who attempted to capitalize on the error; everyone thought it was a touchdown, but a flag on the play brought them back for another try.
A follow-up fumble by the Warriors was recovered by Greg Okray. Chris Cooper came into the game as quarterback for a few series. The Falcons were re-invigorated by a Gerardo Ramirez interception of a Warriors’ pass. The Warriors were able to come back for a touchdown, but the point after attempt was no good, leaving the score at 24-6 at the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter was uneventful, and the final score was 24-6, Falcons!
The photo albums on this website include pictures from all the games.
The next game is 10:30am on Saturday, October 4th at New Berlin Eisenhower (4333 S. Sunnyslope Rd., New Berlin). The 7th grade Falcons are 4-0 (last week’s game was recorded as a Cudahy forfeit and the Ft. Atkinson game did not count in the Falcons’ overall standings).

8th Grade Swamps Cudahy - Victory
The 8th Grade Falcons had total control of the game from the first play from scrimmage. Jake Schimenz intercepted the opening play of Cudahy and it was all Falcons after that. A total team effort brought a convincing 30 to 6 victory home for the Falcons. Interceptions by Jake Schimenz, Zach Rhodes, Bobby Gordon and Jack Walish are just some of the examples of the total team defensive effort. The Offense was able to move the ball at will and punched the ball across the goal line for the scores.
7th Grade Falcons Fall to the Forts
Oh, what a difference a week makes. The 7th Grade Falcons played on their home turf under a (too-) sunny sky this Saturday. With temps in the high 70s, the Falcons sweated in their all-black home uniforms.
And then there was the score. A 0-12 loss to the Fort Atkinson Junior Football Club (we’ll call them the Forts for short) was a very different result than what we’ve come to expect from this team.
The first half was scoreless with the teams turning the ball over to each other on downs and punts. The first quarter was lead by Chris Cooper as quarterback. Chris turned the quarterbacking over to Ryan Hudson for the last three quarters.
Notable first half defensive plays were made by Derrick Benton, Randy Gregory, Austin Schwark, Chris Jones, and Kaine Thomas.
The second half included defensive plays by Noah Ortiz, Josh Stoltenberg, and Charles Gregory. Gregory tackled a Forts player one-and-one-half times his size and brought him down by piggybacking him, dragging him down with brute force.
The Forts scored but were denied the extra points when Schwark batted down the kick. Later in the second half, the Forts scored a second time, but missed the kick again.
Notable offensive plays by Ben Fuja, Stephen Lay, Kennedy McGuigan, and KeyJuan Simond were not enough to help the Falcons overcome the Forts score. The game ended with a score of 0-12.
The next game is 2:30pm on Saturday, September 27th on Brown Deer’s home field against St. Francis.

6th Grade Wins in a Squeaker
The 6th grade game was a defensive battle well into the 3rd quarter at a zero to zero tie. The Falcons mounted a drive late in the 3rd quarter and punched in the go ahead touchdown and converted on a 1 point conversion making the score 7 to 0.
But Cudahy was not be be denied their chance. Early in the 4th quarter Cudahy tied the game on a long pass that went for a touchdown. The Falcons did not give up. They mounted a drive but stalled at mid-field. They punted on 4th down, but a roughing the kicker penalty against Cudahy gave the drive new life. With less than 1 minute to go in the game, the Falcons punched in another score and a successful 1 point conversion taking the lead 14 to 7.
Cudahy almost scored on the kick-off return and was tacked on the Falcon's 20 yard line. After several plays and 17 seconds left in the game, Cudahy attempted a pass to the 4 yard line but was intercepted by the Falcons saving the victory. The Falcons took a knee and with Cudahy not having any time-outs came away with the victory!!!

8th Grade WINS in Triple Overtime
An OUTSTANDING Defensive effort by the Falcons brought a 12 to 6 victory home in triple overtime on Saturday's mud bowl. Neither team could move the ball very effectively in the mud bowl and so it was a defensive battle to the very end.
The Falcons were behind when pressure was put on Greenfield’s quarter back and the pass was intercepted Jake Schimenz and run into the end zone to tie the score. The point after attempt was failed.
The score was tied 6 to 6 as the game went into overtime. 2 overtimes ended with no score. In the 3rd overtime Jake Schimenz ran a counter boot-leg into the end zone from the 10 yard line to break the deadlock and win for the Falcons.
7th Grade Falcons Defeat the Hawks
The 7th grade Falcons will remember this day for a long time because of what did not happen. The defense did not give up; their opponents did not score; and (I hope) the players did not catch pneumonia.
The Falcons ended the day muddy and victorious over the Greenfield Junior Hawks 6-0. The game was a wet and dirty one from which the Greenfield Junior Hawks and their field will not soon recover.
Defense was key as the Hawks tried, but failed, to put points on the board in the first half. Defensive plays by the entire Falcons line stopped them cold. Special recognition to Randy Gregory, Greg Okray, Alec Harmeyer, Ben Schwarz, Hakim Collins, and Kevin Autman for their aggressive defensive play.
The second quarter saw a duo of great punts by Brian Brunmeier, giving the Hawks field positions that they could not overcome. A breakaway 30-yard run by Kennedy McGuigan with 3 minutes left in the 2nd quarter set the stage for a 4-yard touchdown run by Josh Mallet with 19 seconds left in the first half. A tipped Ryan Hudson kick denied the Falcons their extra points.
The second half was highlighted by defensive plays by Carl Perkins, Charles Gregory, Gerardo Ramirez, and Stephen Lay. Two nice catches for Ben Fuja kept some Falcons’ drives alive, but the Falcons ran out the clock with the score at 6-0.
The next game is 1:00pm on Saturday, September 20th on Brown Deer’s home field against Cudahy. Let’s see if the 7th grade Falcons can keep their winning streak going—they are currently 2-0.
The photo albums on this website have been updated with pictures from both wins.

7th Grade Falcons Start with a Victory!
7th Grade Falcons Start with a Victory!
The 7th grade Falcons basked in a 14-6 victory over the Mequon-Homestead Cardinals on Saturday. The defense was stand-out spectacular in the first half, holding the score to 0-0 against a hungry Cardinal offense. In the 3rd quarter, a pair of Ryan Hudson passes to Stephen Lay and Ben Fuja set up a 3-yard Josh Mallet run into the end zone for 6 points. A Ryan Hudson kick made the score 8-0. The Cardinals came rumbling back with a touchdown, but the Falcons offense shut them down on the kick attempt, and held them to only 6 points.
The fourth quarter began with a score of 8-6. The Falcons' Kennedy McGuigan broke free for a run deep into Cardinals territory which set up another Josh Mallet touchdown. The extra point try was no good, leaving the score at 14-6. A Cardinals turnover of the ball late in the fourth quarter prevented them from even thinking about another chance at scoring.
What a great opening game as the 7th grade Falcons start off the season with a win! Next game is Saturday, September 13th at 10:30am at Greenfield High School (4800 S. 60th).

8th Grade Handed a Tough Loss
The 8th Grade ran into a big and well disciplined team on Saturday. Mequon had the size and speed to make their offense a formidable machine. The Falcon's Offense had periods of sunshine but couldn't sustain an effort. The Falcon's Defense had their hands full with a well organized passing and running Offense.
The 8th grade will bounce back next Saturday against Greenfield.
Adults - Other Ways To Be Involved !!!!
There are many other ways to be involved with Youth Football other than coaching!!!!
- Team Managers needed at all levels. Help the coaches and team out by doing all the little things the coaches have to do if you don't help!! Handouts each week for the upcoming games and collecting administrative paperwork required during the year. Ask the coaches what you can do for the team!!
