Brandywine Cal Ripken Youth Baseball/Tee Ball League: Welcome

BRANDYWINE CAL RIPKEN
320 BELL ROAD P. O. BOX 532 NILES, MI 49120

TO ALL 2010 OHIO VALLEY REGIONAL STATE CHAMPIONS OR QUALIFIERS:

Congratulations!

You have reached something that so far, only 80 other teams in the whole country have achieved. That is a season maker in itself!

We, at Brandywine Cal Ripken BRL would like to welcome you to Niles, Michigan. We are home to two great school systems; Brandywine Public Schools, Home of the Bobcats, and Niles Public Schools, Home of the Vikings.

Brandywine Cal Ripken has hosted several State and Regional Tournaments over the 30 years we have been affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball. Our last Regional tournament was back in 2000 when we hosted the 12 year olds.

As a group, you will be part of Brandywine Cal Ripken baseball history, as we have finally accomplished what we set out to do several years ago. With a lot of help from the Niles Charter Township Parks Dept., some local township officials, and many volunteers from our league, our outfield fence has been moved back approximately 40 – 45 feet, and more lighting has been added. This feat was started just 3 weeks ago, and with a lot of effort by one particular man, we will just call him “Joe”, our league goal has been achieved.

These renovations will add a lot of memorable plays in games played here and we are glad you get to help create some of the first memorable ones.

I have been League President for the last 16 years, and I for one am very proud of the accomplishments that have been made to our facility in such a short period of time. With out the help of many volunteers it would have never been accomplished.

So, to you champions and qualifiers, welcome to Brandywine Cal Ripken Baseball and “Thank You” for being a part of our history!

Sincerely

Jamie Stover

President, Brandywine Cal Ripken BRL
