Welcome to BCJBA
The Broomfield County Junior Baseball Association is dedicated to the development, teaching and playing of the sport of BASEBALL.
BCJBA is starting it's eighth year and obtains sanctioning through our affiliation with Front Range Baseball (FRABA). The League's teams are sanctioned for play in AABC, CABA and NBC events as well as sanctioned with the USSSA.
Competitive Baseball
Broomfield County Junior Baseball Association (BCJBA) will soon be forming travel (competitive) teams for the 2007 season. Tryouts are held starting in August through the fall.
If you are interested in being placed on a contact list or wish to bring a team into the league for the 2007 season, please contact us at bcjba@yahoo.com.
Recreational ("Local") Team Information:
We are pleased to report to you that after three years of recommendations to and discussions with the City and County of Broomfield, the City has made the decision that they will be the provider of recreational youth baseball in Broomfield and is taking over both Broomfield County Jr. Baseball Association (BCJBA) AND Broomfield Baseball League (BBL)'s recreational baseball programs! This is great news for all the kids involved in both leagues. Both leagues' Boards were consulted and agreed that the City has the resources needed to provide a quality recreational baseball program and that it would be beneficial for the recreational players to play in a combined program run by the City. BCJBA supports the City completely in this decision and we all look forward to assisting them with whatever they need to start up this program for all of our kids. All of our rec players should watch the City's recreational program catalog and sign up directly with the City next year (spring 2007). Their website is www.broomfield.org.
As of now, both Leagues' competitive programs will remain with their respective League and will each continue to receive field allocations from the City as they have been. If you are interested in competitive baseball, please contact Kirk Osgood, ktandkoz@aol.com, for more information.
