BOUND BROOK HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME: Welcome
The Bound Brook High School Alumni Association will honor some of the schools most outstanding alumni in their Hall of Fame induction ceremony to be held on October 9, 2016. Outstanding alumni and staff, as well as a State Championship softball team, will be recognized for their contributions to the school, and for the honor they have brought to the Bound Brook High School community, both while in school and during their chosen careers.
This year the Bound Brook Alumni Association has selected the following alumni to be honored in the Lifetime Achievement category, for their accomplishments and awards earned following their Bound Brook High School graduation: Douglas Billian, posthumously, Class of 1946, Publisher of Golf World and other magazines, local philanthropist, Stephen Gilliland, Class of 1969, founder of four energy companies, financial officer of largest U.S. independent power company, George Limyansky, posthumously, Class of 1935, WW II pilot and multiple medal winner for Distinguished Service, Korean War hero, and served as a Cold War translator for Nikita Kruschev, Robert Mizerek, Class of 1957, member of fourcollegiate Halls of Fame, outstanding tennis and wrestling coach, and Raymond Anthony Thomas, III, Class of 1976, Four Star General of the Army, Commander of Special Services, and Commander of Joint Chiefs of Staff of US Army.
Also, former Staff Members, who served the High School and District for over 80 years of combined service, will be honored. William Finnerty, Social Studies Instructor, Athletic Trainer and Coach,; and Sam Gramiccioni, Class of 1961, Physical Education Instructor, Coach, and Athletic Director, will be inducted because of their excellence in fostering a well- rounded for their students and athletes, and for their overall service to the Bound Brook School District.
The Athletic Achievement section of the Hall of Fame will honor the following alumni for their contributions while performing for the school athletic programs: Donald Ridley, Class of 1955, was a State Champion wrestler; John Sylvester, Class of 1973, excelled in football and was an All- State baseball player; Raymond G Thompson, Class of 1994, three sport star who was a 1000 yard rusher in both his Junior and Senior seasons, and excelled on the baseball team as a catcher; William Vadinsky, Class of 1979, All-State basketball player and leading scorer for 1979 team that won Central Jersey Group I championship; and Bethany Wagner, Class of 1998, All-State gymnast who won the 1997 all-around title for the gymnastic team. In addition, the 1997 Undefeated, State Championship Softball Team will be inducted for their achievements.
The BBHS Hall of Fame induction dinner will be held on October 9, 2016, at the Somerset Holiday Inn, Davidson Avenue, Somerset, to recognize the outstanding contributions of these alumni. There is expected to be a large demand for the limited number of tickets (275) for the event. ASSOCIATION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
Your alumni association has awarded two $1,000.00 scholarships to graduating seniors for the past four years. The awards are partially funded by the membership dues you pay and donations made by alumni like you. One hope for the future is to increase the amount of the awards. It all depends on the alumni of Bound Brook High School.The BBHS Alumni Association is pleased to announce this year's winners

Community Service and Leadership - Alyssa Greco who will attend Dickinson College and major in Enviromental Science.

Association looking to expand membership
The Alumni Association is now looking to expand its membership. All BBHS alumni and friends of BBHS are invited to become members . As a member you will have the ability to stay connected with other Bound Brook graduates and contribute to the perpetuation of the BBHS Hall of Fame . You also will have access to the alumni newsletter and be able to contribute news articles and features to be contained in it. Get the word out to all BBHS graduates and friends. Annual dues for the Association are only $10.00.
