Association Inducts 2012 Hall Of Fame Class

        The Bound Brook High School Alumni Association honored some of the school’s most outstanding alumni in their Hall of Fame induction ceremony held on October 7, 2012. Outstanding alumni and staff, as well as a State Championship softball team, were recognized for their contributions to the school, and for the honor they have brought to the Bound Brook High School community, both while in school and during their chosen careers.
        This year the Bound Brook Alumni Association has selected the following alumni to be honored in the Lifetime Achievement category, for their accomplishments and awards earned following their Bound Brook High School graduation: Barry S. Zuckerman, M.D., Class of 1964; a world renowned pediatrician and champion for the children and underprivileged; Loren K. Langdon, Class of 1969, retired Lieutenant Colonel, USMC and still working in logistics and combat vehicle development; Bruce R. Stevenson, Ph. D, Class of 1970, a cell biologist who discovered a protein that opened a new field in the study of cells in the body and their interactions; and Jeffrey Chiesa, Class of 1983, named New Jersey’s 59th Attorney General in January, 2012. Also, former staff member Donna Baldanza Hildebrand, Class of 1965, will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame posthumously in recognition of her many years of excellence as part of the School District instructional staff.
        The Athletic Achievement section of the Hall of Fame will honor the following alumni for their contributions while performing for the school athletic programs:Donald Iarkowski, Class of 1965, an NJ All-State Football and NJ All-State Baseball player; Thomas A. Sinibaldi, Class of 1965, outstanding athlete in football, wrestling- 2 time state place winner, and record breaking track weight man; Michael De Bartolome, Class of 1972, Co-captain of 1971 undefeated football team and All-State performer in football and baseball; Peter Schuyler, Class of 1978, NJ State Champ wrestler in 1977 with an undefeated dual meet career; Trish Ulibarri-Rowley, Class of 1995, Two time All-State softball player who pitched the Lady Crusaders to 1994 and 1995 NJ State Group I Championships; and Heather Yarashas, Class of 1997, played on three NJ State Group I Championship softball teams and named All-State, All Groups pitcher while leading the Lady Crusaders to a 31-0 season mark in 1997. In addition, the 1994 Group I State Champion Softball team was the first Crusaders girls’ team inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Members of the team include (using maiden names only,) Debbie Klecz, Joanne Suk, Trish Ulibarri- Rowley, Chrissy Allenovich, Lauren Fritzinger, Alison Beatty, Jenny Perrone, Heather Yarashas, Katie Jannuzzi, Jaime Micklos, Silvana Gullia, and coaches Steve Kania, Mark Dubyna, and Shannon Markey.        


The BBHS Alumni Association is proud to announce that for the 4th consecutive year two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded. The awards will be presented to graduating seniors who plan to further their education. One award is for athletic achievement and positive contributions to the team.   The second award is presented for community service and leadership within the Bound Brook - South Bound Brook area. 

Applicants for the scholarship must complete a personal essay and are required to interview with the Scholarship Committee.

Association looking to expand membership

The Alumni Association is now looking to expand its membership. All BBHS alumni and friends of BBHS are invited to become members . As a member you will have the ability to stay connected with other Bound Brook graduates and contribute to the perpetuation of the BBHS Hall of Fame . You also will have access to the alumni newsletter and be able to contribute news articles and features to be contained in it. Get the word out to all BBHS graduates and friends. Annual dues for the Association are only $10.00.

The Hall Of Fame Committee  meetings will now be the 2nd Monday of the month. Meetings will start at 7:00 pm and be located at Bound Brook High School in the vocal room. Any alumni interested in joining the committee are welcome to attend these meetings. Any questions please email for info.
