Welcome to The Bay State Bandits Girls Fastpitch Softball Organization Website.
The Bay State Bandits Girls Fastpitch Softball Teams play Junior Olympic, ASA, AAU, PONY, and NSA Fastpitch Softball Tournaments. The Bandits Organization was established in 1995 by Dean and Sue Ayotte. The organization has produced State and Regional Championship Teams. Also, since 1997 The Bandits have sent teams to the NSA, PONY and AAU National Championships. The 2005 10U Bandits were the NSA Mass. State Champions. In 2002 the 16U Bandits, with a 9th Place finish at the NSA Nationals, qualified and competed at the first NSA Super World Series. The Bandits Home field is located at Southwell Field, 100 Wotton Street, North Chelmsford, Massachusetts 01863. The Organization plans to have teams at following age levels for the 2008 tournament season: 23U, 18U, 16U (2 teams), and 14U,(age of player as of January 1st of the Season Year). Saturday, August 25 Tryouts for 2008 U16 and U14 Bay State Bandit Teams
The 16U Bay State Bandits, Black Team will be holding tryouts for the 2008 Team on Saturday, September 8th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Sunday, September 9th from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Both sessions will be held at Southwell Park. Tryouts, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 8th & 9th, 10:00 AM - Noon have been CANCELLED. Tuesday, July 31 The Bandits Red 16-U Win ASA Umpire Memorial Tournament in Tewksbury The Bay State Bandits Red 16-U Team went undefeatd in thier last tournament winning the ASA Umpire Memorial Tournament in Tewksbury. It was a fine finish to a great season. The team was 20-12-2 with a team batting average of .341 while the pitchers combined for a 3.08 ERA for the season. Monday, July 2 Bandits 16-U Teams Dominate at NSA National Qualifier Tournament in Nashua The 16-U Red and 16-U Black Bandits Teams competed against each other in the Final of the Diamond Gems NSA National Qualifying Tounament June 29 - July 1,2007. The #1 Seed 16-U Red Team was undefeated on the weekend and were crowned champions, outlasting the 16-U Black Team who had to play and win the extra game on Sunday against the always strong Concord Raiders Team. Congratulations to both 16-U Bandit Teams! Wednesday, March 7 Bandits Black 16U seeks experienced pitcher for 2007 season The Bay State Bandits “Black” 16U Junior Olympic Softball team is seeking an experienced pitcher for the 2007 summer season. The team is an “A” level team and has 8 weekend tournaments scheduled from mid-June to the end of July at locations throughout New England. Players who have not reached their 17th birthday prior to January 1, 2007 are eligible for this year’s team. The team will be coached by Dave Clapp, previously the head coach of Bandit teams at the 14U, 16U and 18U level.
