CCU Bayern is the older age group Team at Crown City United. Players ages range from the age of 16 to 18. The team played in Coast Soccer Gold League for the past two seasons, and recently was crowned CYSA Chevrolet Open State Cup Champion (see below).
The team is coached by Hannes Sheen and Keri Sanchez, who joined the Staff earlier this year. Hannes, who played his soccer in Germany for many years, has been with the team since 2000, it's first year of competitive soccer. Every year since then, CCU Bayern has produced top CIF players, and many were rewarded with scholarships to play on prestigious Division 1 college teams. Kerri Sanchez, who also is the head coach of Claremont Mc Kenna's Women's soccer program, was a standout player @ UNC, before playing professionally in WUSA. This team is now in its second year playing for Crown City United (Formerly SGVSC), under the wings of Dan Calichman, Director of Coaching, US National Player and former Captain of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

We have added "MANDATORY" CATZ clinic to our Practice Schedule.
CATZ will be held every MONDAY @ 7:30 PM @ the CATZ Facility in Pasadena. This is a special offer to our Club Teams, to prepare for the upcoming season,to improve your strength and conditioning. The sessions will start MONDAY SEPTEMBER, 13, 2004. See you all there!

BAYERN 2004/2005 SEASON
GREAT JOBS LADIES!
CCU U19 BAYERN FINISHED THE SEASON AND LEAGUE CUP WITH 9 WINS 4 TIES AND ONLY 3 LOSSES, WITH NATIONALS STILL TO BE PLAYED IN MARCH 2005.
THIS SEASON WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT A VAST IMPROVEMENT, AND THE FACT THAT BAYERN PLAYERS AVERAGED 2 YEARS OF AGE DIFFERENCE TO THEIR OLDER COMPETITION, THE TEAM SET THE STAGE FOR THE NEXT SEASON TO BE CONSIDERED A FAVORITE AGAIN, AS MOST STARTERS WILL RETURN.
WITH A GOOD RESULT IN NATIONAL CUP, THE TEAM HAS TO BE CONSIDERED TO PLAY IN THE PREMIER COMPETITION NEXT FALL.
