Head Coach:  Steven Baxter

  USSF National D License

Centennial High School Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach

Mike Stankovic Pro Soccer Academy Coach 2008

Assistant Coach:  Bryan Pownall                                                                          Assistant Coach:

***We are always looking for talented, motivated and dedicated players interested in playing a high level of soccer.  Contact Coach Steve via email to arrange a tryout/player evaluation with the team .***

How we are different than the large organizations:

Ø      Small business versus big business approach.  Most importantly, we treat the players as individuals, not numbers.  Our interest is in developing soccer players as well as quality people while fostering a fun environment to learn soccer.  We believe that chemistry has much to do with achieving success on the field as well as creating a fun and friendly environment for the players.  Our goal is to keep a dedicated and qualified group of girls together through U19 while competing at the highest levels they can achieve.  Players on our roster must work hard, continue their improvement and demonstrate they can consistently handle the level of competition we are playing against in all facets of the game.

Ø      Coaching.  Coaches of premier soccer organizations are licensed and typically paid to coach youth soccer teams, which leads to higher fees for the player’s family.  Our Head Coach, Steve Baxter, is a licensed coach (USSF National D), the Centennial High School Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach and a part time coach for the Mike Stankovic Pro Soccer Academy.  Our coaches are not paid.  Our goal is to keep costs as low as possible for our families while providing a great opportunity to play soccer at a high level.

Coach Steve has in the past and will continue in the future to spend extra time to work with a player or players that need to or have a desire to work on any aspect of their game.  This is a more dedicated and personal approach to coaching that is not typical of the large organizations.  Coach Steve is excited and passionate about teaching kids to play the great game of soccer and tries to make himself available as much as possible for additional practice.

Ø      League Play.  Moving to WAGS for the U16 seasonal year

Regardless of which league or leagues we play in now or in the future, we will always play in lots of sanctioned tournaments and get great competition for our girls.
