A VICTORIOUS VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND!!
It was certainly a great weekend as the Lakeshore Thunder International Classic Hockey Tournament took place on May 20-22 at Meadowvale Four-Rinks in Mississauga, Ontario and the Brampton Sports Center in Brampton, Ontario. The Battlefield Bengals dominated the 96 (novice) division even though it was the Bengals second tournament in their impressive inaugural season with a record of 9 wins and 1 loss in their two tournaments. In their first [round-robin] game of the tourney, the Bengals defeated the Cleveland Stars by a score of 6-2. The Bengals played very well and therefore came out with the win. In the Bengals second round-robin game, they defeated the Toronto Red Devils by a score of 3-2. It was a very close game and the Bengals squeaked out with the win. With a surprising record (to most teams that thought we would get crushed) of 2 wins and 0 losses, the Bengals continued to the second round of round-robin games. The Bengals still seemed pumped as they defeated the Vaughan Panthers by a score of 8-3. The Bengals continued their strong play as they
.um, I dont want to say pummeled the Toronto Terriers by a score of 9-1 in their fourth round-robin game of the tournament. 4 wins. 0 losses. Impressive record, eh. Not impressive enough for the Bengals, apparently, as they went on to win their semi-final game against the Vaughan Panthers by a score of 5-3. On to the championship! exclaimed the Bengals in the dressing room. So the Bengals went on to face the Toronto Red Devils again for the championship.
The Bengals continued to play awesome as they defeated the Red Devils by a score of 4-3 to win the tournament. The Bengals played great as they went undefeated throughout the whole tournament with 6 wins and 0 losses. Thanks to the other teams for an intense tourney and theres only one more thing that I have to say and that is: Way to go Bengals!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
