SPRAGUE 10/11s BATTLE BACK BUT COME UP 1 SHORT!! END UP 2nd OUT OF MORE THEN 100 LEAGUES IN STATE!!
The 10/11 team was defeated in an incredible game at Alpenrose Dairy. Sprague faced a tough Murrey Hill team. Murrey Hill had a 9-1 lead after 3 and things didnt look good for the home team. The boys battled back scoring 3 in the 4th inning and another 5 in the 5th. Going into the 6th inning it was all tied up at 9-9. The Murrey hill team had bases loaded with 2 outs and a 1-1 count and the batter hit a base hit to left scoring 1. The top half of the inning ended 10-9. Sprague came to bat and it seemed that the ball was magnatized to the Murrey Hill gloves. Sprague was retired 1-2-3.
What a great run. Congratulations to the boys and the coaching staff. To win district is big, but to come in 2nd out of more then 100 leagues in Oregon is HUGE. You should all be proud of yourselves, we all are.
Great job!!
