Event Overview

In keeping with its commitment to promoting healthy communities through amateur sports, Planet3Sports is proud to bring you the 2008 Planet3Games Summer Nationals. Charlotte, North Carolina will continue its tradition of hosting national sporting events when it welcomes the 2008 Planet3Games Summer Nationals - June 29 - July 4, 2008. This multi-sport championship event will host a wide range of activities to engage athletes and spectators alike featuring the sports of Lacrosse, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and Softball along with other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Planet3Games championship events promise to highlight thrilling athletic competition, exciting live entertainment, and provide experiences that will generate lifetime memories for all.

Dates: June 29 - July 4, 2008
Ages: U8-U18 Boys/Girls
Sports: Lacrosse, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball and Softball
Venues: Competition will be based around the Charlotte, NC metro area to include Freedom Park, Renaissance Park and Park Road Park
Family Fun Festival: Freedom Park - Charlotte, NC - July 4, 2008 from 10am - 6pm

Team Awards and Sponsor Gifts

* Every team plays for the charity of their choice
* Championship and runner-up medals will be awarded for each sport
* Every team is guaranteed 3 games pool play plus championship bracket play
* Every team to participate in the awards ceremony at Family Fun Festival
* Each player will receive a pass for rides/games at the Family Fun Festival
* Each player will receive an official Planet3Games t-shirt

Family Fun Festival

Major sponsors and area businesses will host the Planet3Sports Family Fun Festival filled with lots of family fun activities for Games attendees on July 4, 2008 from 10am - 6pm at Freedom Park in Charlotte, NC. Our Family Fun Festival features lots of great activities for the whole family to enjoy to include a Disney Championship Day Performance, sporting challenge events for all ages, huge inflatable rides along with lots of great carnival games and more. The Planet3Sports Family Fun Festival promises to highlight thrilling amateur sports championship day action, exciting live entertainment, and provide experiences that will generate lifetime memories for all.

Family Fun Festival Pricing


Its free to watch the Disney Concert Performance, participate in the Family Fun Festival or watch the sporting tournaments. However, if you choose to participate in activities in the Sponsor Sporting Challenge areas, the cost is $10.00 per person for unlimited play all day on all the sporting challenge areas. Family packages are also available at a cost of $10.00 for the first child and $8.00 for each additional child. A $1.00 Pay for Play option allows participants to pick and choose individual Challenge areas they wish to play. Orange wristbands will be required for each participant.

We are always searching for new partnerships and volunteers/interns for our Summer/Winter Planet3Games and our regional Planet3Games multi-sport classic events.
