VBC EXPRESS DEVELOPMENTAL TEAMS
VBC Developmental Teams
Teams are formed to provide talented and motivated players at ages 13, 14, 15 and 16-18 with an opportunity to receive high-level instruction and play competitive baseball.
The Virginia Baseball Club is a sponsor for developmental baseball teams in Arlington/Falls Church/Vienna and Woodbridge/South County areas. Players from other communities are welcome.

Coaching Philosophy
Each player will receive specific instruction in all aspects of the game of baseball. One of the main goals of the program is to prepare players for high school baseball. Although we will challenge the players to be the best they can be, we believe in a positive approach to teaching the game of baseball. All of our coaches are trained in positive coaching techniques. We will expect the parents, players and coaches to demonstrate respect for Umpires, Opponents and Teammates at all times.
We believe that not all players hit, pitch or throw exactly the same. We will take each player and develop their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses as individuals. After evaluating each player at the beginning of the fall season the coaches will develop an improvement plan for that player. Gradual and consistent reinforcement of the proper mechanical and mental approaches will allow the player to reach his potential.
A physical speed, strength and agility evaluation will be made with each player in the late fall.
Players for the 13U and 14U teams are expected to make a commitment to play and practice with the team from September 1 through May 31. Players for the 15-18U teams are expected to make a commitment from September 1 until high school practice starts.
