The 2nd Annual DIAMOND SPORTS PROMOTIONS WORLD SERIES will be an OPEN event this year which allows the teams to enter early and plan out their entire season.   ALL TEAMS WILL BE SEEDED
The event will be played at Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington Normal Illinois. We will use several high school fields in the Bloomington-Normal, Peoria Illinois area also.   
This will be a 4 game gurarantee with the format being a double elimination tourney for the championship. After a team suffers its second defeat they will be moved down into the consolation tourney bracket and will proceed to play for a championship team plaque again. If a team loses 3 games in a row a 4th game will be scheduled for them. THIS FORMAT GIVES THE TEAMS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY 6 OR 7 GAMES!
