Legs are where I differentiate my total theory a little bit. I don't necessarily
stick to my strict regimen of not lifting heavy. In fact I encourage my players
to lift legs in a normal setting. What we do is concentrate more on sprints
and cardiovascular areas...once again not straying far from the endurance type
atmosphere.
Sprints:
- We do the Glove
Drill constantly...and use it in a competitive nature having teams of
four for relays
Lifting:
- Leg curls
- Leg extensions
- Squats...for endurance...careful here...don't use too much weight
- Calve raisers
Running in Place: (2 min every min of rest...5 reps at beginning of
practice)
