Looking for players 2010 Lake County Stars 14u Last Roster Spot Opportunity 12/2/2009
The Lake County Stars were developed last year in order to prepare our players to play in high school. We wanted to try to gather the best talent in the area and have them work with a professional coach in order to bring their skills to the next level. We had a great year last year, it was better than our expectations. The boys all had a great experience, and had fun playing baseball. This was exemplified by their 33 and 17 record and either winning or coming in second in three of our five tournaments. The boys on the team came from all over the area including Glenview, Greyslake, Mundelein, Libertyville, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Barrington and Kildeer. This team was based on putting the best talent possible together, and watching them all grow together as a team.
We played in the Mid-Suburban League "A" division last year which gives the players the best competition available in the area.
Our coach played competitive baseball throughout his high school and college career. He attended Jacobs High School where he set the all time record for hits in a season while earning All Conference honors. He also played at Aurora University where he led his team to the College World Series. He has a passion for the game and did a great job teaching the boys last year.
We are looking to expand on this model and create even better prepared players for the local high schools. We presently have a great group of players and parents. We would like to add one more player/pitcher to the roster. If you are interested in a personal tryout contact us at MLB3410@aol.com or call us at the number below.
