Parking at Tennessee High
We're having some problems again with the parking situation during and after practices at Tennessee High...especially parents who are picking up their children after practice!
Parents, swimmers, and coaches MUST park in legal parking spaces at and around Tennessee High/Viking Hall. All areas painted in RED are fire lanes. The areas painted in YELLOW are no parking zones (several of those will soon be changed to RED). All of the parking spaces along the fence next to the track are reserved for the Tennessee High athletic busses. The police will begin ticketing and towing any vehicles that are parked in the fire zones.
BASA would like to suggest two areas that you can park...
1. In the THS back parking lot. This would require that you cross Southside Ave.
2. On Edgemont Ave. in front of Viking Hall and the THS track. There are no streets to cross.
BASA must abide by all rules and laws. By not following those rules, we could put ourselves in a position of not being able to use the swimming pool!

2007-2008 BASA FEE SCHEDULE
In an effort to continue to serve the best interests of our swimmers, BASA has decided to change the fee schedule. This fee schedule will go into effect with the 2007 Fall Session (each session is 3 months long) which will begin on Monday, August 13. The fees are based on the number of practices that a swimmer and their parents agree to swim each week. A coach's input is required in this decission.
3 practices per week - $ 75 session fee
4 practices per week - $100 session fee
5 practices per week - $125 session fee
6 or more practices per week - $150 session fee
Swimmers will sign a contract that limits them to certain days of the week that they can practice. If at any time during the Fall Session the coaches and swimmers feel that another day of practice is needed, the swimmer will be charged the additional $25 for the extra day per week. All swimmers will still be required to register with USS swimming at an annual fee of $50. There will no longer be a discount offered to high school and middle school swimmers and we will no longer charge the family fee of $30.
The swimming year will is divided into four (4) sessions.
Fall Session - August 13 through November 9(short course begins)
Winter Session - November 12 through February 29(short course championship season)
Winter Break - March 1-9
Spring Session - March 10 through May 9 (long course season begins)
Summer Session - May 12 through August 1 (long course championship season)
Summer Break - August 2-10
The practice schedule will be posted at a later date.
All swimmers need to complete a new BASA Swimmer information sheet. Any swimmer who does not have a current 2006 USS registration on file with BASA, SES, and USS needs to complete the Athlete registration form and return it to a BASA board member. Any parent who wishes to serve as meet officials need to have completed the necessary requirements and must have completed a Non-Athlete registration form. All of these forms can be found in the handout below.
