East Bay Baseball Academy 2010 BLL Winter Training Program
East Bay Baseball Academy (EBBA) is offering a 12-week winter training program for Barrington Little League baseball players, ages 8-13, covering hitting, fielding and baseball sports conditioning.
The group session will be held at EBBA (Gooding Ave, Bristol, RI) every Wednesday, 6:00-7:30pm, beginning Jan 6, 2010 and running through the end of March (no session the week of Feb school vacation). Spots are limited to 20 players, and the cost per player is $225.

Christopher Andreozzi Memorial Tournament Team Wins Championship

On August 15th, Barrington Little League defeated Lincoln to win the 2009 Christopher Andreozzi Memorial Tournament hosted by Darlington American Little League at Slater Park in Pawtucket.
The team played five games over two weeks in the Tournament's White Division, emerging with a 4 and 1 record over Smithfield, Cranston American, Portsmouth and Cumberland National. Barrington won three of its five round-robin contests by the Tournament's twelve-run rule, scoring a total of sixty two runs against its opponents and securing one of six playoff spots.
Facing Rumford on August 11th, Barrington emerged with a decisive 13-1 playoff victory, earning, by virtue of its record, a bye to the Tournament Championship with home field advantage. Then, on August 15th, exactly one year to the day, the team defeated Lincoln under the lights 9-4, winning the Tournament Championship and returning the Tournament trophy to Barrington for the second straight year.
Eighteen teams from all over RI and nearby MA participated in the annual summer tournament, named in memory of Christopher Andreozzi in 1999

Junior All-Stars Win Dartmouth Tournament Championship

Members of the the 2009 Junior All-Stars participated in the annual Dartmouth, MA Invitational Baseball Tournament, July 30th - August 2nd. The team beat Dartmouth 12-0, then went on to defeat Middleboro 11-1, and finally dominated Fairhaven twice by the scores of 28-11 and 16-0 to win the Tournament Title in their bracket.

Senior All-Stars Win State Championship

On August 1, the Senior All-Stars defeated Johnston 5-2, taking the state title and advancing to the Eastern Regionals for the second year in a row.
Fresh off the victory, the team traveled to West Deptford, NJ, beginning its tournament play with the longest game in Eastern Regional history, emerging after nearly 4 hours with a 23-16 victory over host West Deptford. Barrington lost its next game to Suffern, NY 4-1, but kept hopes alive by rallying to a 3-1 win over Weston, MA in the third contest. The team's Tournament run ended with their fourth game, in a devastating loss to Naamans, DE. Barrington's play earned the team the distinction of the having the furthest advance of any Rhode Island team in the history of the Regional Tournament.
