| I had the pleasure of managing the Manchester LL 9 year olds with Steve Rodriquez and my Son Stephen Bates Jr. (THE 3 STEVES) words cannot truly express how we all feel about this tournament and how awesome it was ran. From day 1 the first coaches meeting to the first day we brought the kids in for our game it was if we were family and this is how we were treated.Derek,you and your staff should be extremely proud because this tournament is a class act that will provide memories that last a life time not only for the kids but we as coaches.Even when we lost in the final,you knew just how to handle it and make that hurt feel a whole lot better. I on behalf of my fellow coaches, parents and players thank you all from the bottom of my heart.For a job well done being in the little league organization for 20 years now and knowing the work that goes into it wish you and your staff all the best and as Barnegat continues to grow I pray that you will be given what is needed and the people that are needed to grow with your community Sincerely SteveBates Secretary of the Manchester Little League |

| Dereck and Denise, I have been blessed to have my next in line son make the all-star team for Toms River East Little league. I am honored that he gets to play in what I have always called, "the best 9 year old tournament" in the state. To have him be a part of your tournaments long tradition is something that we all will treasure. We look forward to your leagues hospitality and professionalism. | Hello Dereck and Denise, I tried to leave you a message on your guest book, but it states that you have to be members. Speaking as a board member from TRELL and as a coach of the Toms River East Americans, I just wanted all to know who read your site what a fantastic job you, your family and your volunteers have done this year in the 2006 tournament. You truly made Barnaget feel like a home away from home for both our teams. As I write this email, I look up in my office and see the trophy with the signed ball, the pennant and the pictures of our team and it bring me back again to a great time we shared with our players, families and fans. You ran a class operation and made the experience, winning & losing, a positive one. That's not easy to do when you lose a heartbreaker, but you did and for that...we thank you.
