Pre and Post Game Duties
Pre and Post Game Responsibilities

For pre-game warmups, the home team has the field for 30 minutes starting one hour and ten minutes before game time followed the visiting team for 30 minutes starting 40 minutes before game time. For example, for Saturday's 9am game. The home team has the field from 7:50am to 8:20am. Then the visiting team has it from 8:20am to 8:50am.

The last 10 minutes before game time are reserved for field preparation. Both teams are responsible for raking the infield and lining the batter's box.

If a whole hour is not available before game time (which is possible on a Saturday with three games back to back), then the two teams should divide the time evenly, again with the home team having the field first and allowing some time to prepare the field for play.

Although each team should clean-up it's own dugout and area after the game, the visiting team is responsible for cleaning up the field after the game and the home team is responsible for bringing in the flags, if necessary.

Finally, the winning coach is responsible for calling in the score to the BDN Sports Desk. The phone number is on the schedule (990-8033) and on the league web page under alerts. The winning coach should also enter the score on the web site or call Bill Wood at 945 0160 or email at billwood@bangoreastll.org know.

We are also using a log book that will be located in the clubhouse to record pitching. Both coaches need to enter this information after each game.
