Two wonderfully headed goals saw Saints safely through this GA International Inter Region Cup prliminary Round tie to meet Sunnybank in the 1st Round.

Down 1-0 after a rather soft penalty award to the Peterhead side, saints controlled big parts of the first half and equalised in the 23rd minute with a Richard Stainer header from an Alan McRae / Keith Horne move.

1-1 at half time  and Hearts came more into the game in the second period when they wee playing with the wind. Keith Horne passed up the chance to put Saints ahead on the 55th minute when he missed a penalty, but with 10 minutes remaining Lee Shanks scored a brilliant winner with his head from a Shaun Carrol cross.
