Bandits win Back to the Beach Classic
The Bandits defeated the Alabama Storm, Baldwin Braves, AL/MS Stateliners, and Grand Bay All Stars, to win the 2nd annual Back to the Beach Classic. Many of the Bandits were on the Coosa Rivercat team which won this tournament lastyear. The Roster was modified slightly for this tournament. All of the Bandits were invited to play but most had other obligations (football) or otherwise and could not attend. Trey Vice and Junior Gray from the Bandits participated as did Fall 2001 Bandits Matt Frasier, Chip Knighten, and Adam Clough. The team was supplemented with several new players from the Gadsden area. These included Myles Cordell, Phillip West, Josh Vest, Jeremy Hill, and Tyler (T.J.) James.
Frederick Gray and Randy Vice continued as assistant coaches. Col. Mike Lamb and Noel Vice joined the Coaching staff.

The two teams fought to a 6-6 tie in regulation before the Bandits Josh Vest drove home Cody Williams for the 7-6 win in 9 innings. The winning pitcher was Tyler Watts. Darius Rudolph and Cody Williams both did a great job as starter and middle relief. In the second game, the Bandits won 8-2 with Myles Cordell securing the victory for the Bandits with Darius Rudolph getting the save. The Bandits played without starters Todd Cunningham, Trey Vice, Joe Frye, and Adam Clough. Cory Bullard came in as a guest player and did an outstanding job for the Bandits in Centerfield. The Bandits Roster for todays doubleheader was: Myles Cordell, Josh Vest, Lathan Watson, Tyler Watts, Darius Rudolph, Taylor Keener, Cody Williams, Matt Frasier, and Cory Bullard. The Bandits are in the midst of preparation for the inaugural BPA World Series in Gadsden, AL. The team underwent some changes after state tournament due to all-star selections. Darius Rudolph, Trey Vice, Lathan Watson, Jonathon Bowen, Adam Clough, and Junior Gray, 14 year olds, all made the Etowah County Babe Ruth 15 year old all-star team. These players will be able to compete in the BPA World Series since there is no conflict in schedules. However, Myles Cordell, Todd Cunningham, Tank Watson, and Josh Vest made the 14 year old all-star team. These players play their tournament on the same weekend as the BPA which makes their participation unlikely. 3 new players who will be named later will join the Bandits for the BPA World Series on July 10-13.

Bandits Finish 3rd in BPA World Series
The Bandits defeated the Central Alabama Wildcats, Evansville Gold, and Brookwood Broncos on their way to the Blue Division Championship game against the eventual World Series Champions, the Twitty City Stars. Junior Gray and Adam Clough were both ALL WORLD selections at the conclusion of the tournament. Great pitching performances were turned out by Junior Gray, Trey Vice, Darius Rudolph,Cody Williams, Joe Frye, and Nick Vickerson. Jonathon Bowen and Michael Everly played well in the outfield while Lathan Watson, Blake Jennings and
Nick Vickerson played great infield. Adam Clough was outstanding behind the plate catching for all of the tournamanet games. Blake Jennings from the 2002 Bandits was welcomed back to the team as was 2001 Bandit Michael Everly. Nick Vickerson was
