Sampson Beats Comiskey 42-39
In the toughest matchup yet this season Sampson Black Beat Comiskey.   If we ever wanted to have a tough game this was it. One of our Star All Star players, Karim Mawenyega is the point guard for Comiskey. Karim had an awesome game but in the end Sampson had just too many weapons. Pres, Jabar, Charles and Tim had to play 3 quarters to keep the pressure on Comiskey and to keep the offense moving.   The last shot was made by Charles after Tim made his move to the goal got fouled whiched caused him to miss the shot but Big Charles was in his spot with the put back for us to take the lead. Then Comiskey tried to drive down court but we got the stea. The ball went to Jabar who this time got the foul on the other end.   Jabar nailed one of two and that put the game out of reach for Comiskey.    This game was a true battle as Comiskey brought out it's faithful and they made their presence know.   The gym was rockin! But the 4 quarters of heat brought by Sampson was as always so so tough.

Great Game to both teams.

N.O. 9 year All-Stars Win State Biddy
The team finish the season with a prefect record.   N.O. Finishes with no loses and a state title.   The team looks good headed in the National Tournament.   Again the goal is to win the National Tournament as a 9 year old team. It will be tough but the team is ready.

New Orleans 9 yr Old AllStar Win N.O. Tournament
In a very exciting Game the 9 year Old All-Stars pull out another victory. This weekend we again played Kenner in the Championship game.    We got out to an early lead then lost the lead to Kenner right before the half. Then in the 3rd we regained the lead and never looked. We beat them by 20 in a resounding win.

N.O. All-Stars win the Credential Tournament
The N.O. All-Stars are looking good after their 1st weekend of play and with only a day of practice.   We are now on our way to UNO for the New Orleans Tournament. We are in the process of trying to get a game against a 10 year old team. But our first crack may not be until next week St. Bernard's Tournament.

Sampson beat Comiskey 35-32
In a very tough game Sampson defeats Comisky Friday night in a tough divisional game.   Sampson was without Tim, Preston and Coleman but Charles made the game and man did we need him.   Charles had an All-Star Game but had to make the Sampson Game due to a rule that says if you forfeit two game you are not eligible for the playoffs.   Let's all give Big Charles a pat on the back as he did it for the team.

New Season under way for the N.O. 9 yr old All-Stars
The New Orleans 9 yr old All-Star Season is now underway.   This year looks to be another exciting year as we have 6 returning All-Stars.    Our team is looking to bring lots of speed and action to the court. Additionally we are looking to balance our team with some new big men.    This will help us in rebounding and on the defense end.   Also we will see more inside offensive play as these player start to better understand our system.

Ball-Stars finish Season as the National League Runner-Up
The Ball-Stars finish the 2005 season as the National League runner up.   The Ball-Stars fought a good fight but in the end the New Orleans Lightning had too much size and depth.   Although the Ball-Stars did not win the New Orleans 10 year old championship they have much to be proud of.   For starters this team had all 9 year olds and will get a chance to come back next year for the title.   Also the Ball-Stars learned a lot and will continue to grow as they look forward to All-Star, NORD and AAU Seasons.
