Hebenstriet, Callahan earn All-American honors
Two Baldwin wrestlers earned All-American honors at the Kids Folkstyle National Tournament held in the Topeka Expocentre on April 6-7.
Ethan Hebenstriet, competing in the novice age division at 140 lbs., placed fourth to earn his first nationals plaque. Hebenstriet had an eight-man bracket and went 2-2 in the tournament.
Kevin Callahan, competing in the schoolboy age division at 105 lbs., finished in sixth place to earn his second nationals plaque. Callahan had a 32-man bracket and went 3-3 overall in the tournament.
Also competing was Alan Callahan in the novice age division at 85 lbs. Callahan competed valiantly but was eliminated.
The wrestlers were coached by Brian Mason, Dennis Callahan, and Kit Harris.
