| It was truly a blessing the way the 14u team won Nationals at La Mirada July 20-24th 2007. Drawing the last seed and having to face Hawaii (the defending Natio nal Champions) first was daunting. The 12-2 trouncing the team gave them set the tone for the rest of the tournament. Then the #1 seed - - Heartwell. Then Fairfield. Then East Anaheim, twice! This was the same team that creamed them 18-0 in the regional! Coach John had them dialed in from an undefeated metro summer league season! They won the final game 18-5 to put an exclamation point on their claim to the National Title! Laura Berg, from the US National Team and assistant coach at Fresno State called Bobby Sox instrumental in developing her career. Truly a team of destiny! National Champs. |
