Getting ready for the Winter 2008 Season

The BAJA (Born Again Jocks Association) Sporting Club has started the 2008 season with 12 teams playing in two different leagues on three days a week. This is a lot of softball for the local boys of summer who play here in southern Arizona during the winter. All of the athletes are over 55, an average age of nearly 66 and a few players in their 80’s. Although the games are pretty competitive all realize in the end they are just lucky to be playing. There is a lot of heckling and cheering but after the game they all meet in the middle of the field shake hands and head for Triple Play to eat some Nachos or fries, drink a soft drinks and relive the great and not so great plays.
