Learn how to play baseball the Spartans way!
Welcome to the Arizona Spartans Homepage! We were formed in 2008 and participate in USSSA, Super Series, Nations Baseball, and Triple Crown Tournaments. We currently have two teams in the 13u division who plan to play AA and AAA tournament baseball this season. The Spartans participate in a minimum of 2 tournaments per month, offer scrimmages, and 2-3 practices per week including one for Pitchers and an Agility/Strength training night. We have created a family atmosphere both and off the field by recruiting not only kids who are solid on the field, but are great kids off the field also, not to mention their families who are equally outstanding!
In addition, the coaching staff of the Spartans is dedicated to teaching the kids how to play baseball the right way. We emphasize fundamental defense, solid pitching, and consistent hitting. However, there is more to the game and some kids do not get coached on that part...the mental approach. We make sure to slow the game down enough so that the kids begin to understand the "why" behind everything in the game. It is not good enough to do something "because coach said so." They need to understand why they are doing what they are doing. It is our commitment to you and your son that he will be ready for High School baseball after playing for the Spartans.
As an organization we have reached out to current MLB players, former players & coaches, and trainers from all backgrounds to assist us in continuing to develop our teams. Currently, no Spartans head coach has less than college baseball experience, while this does not alone make for a great coach, it assists our players in being taught how to make it to the next level. We make a committment to you and your child that they will get the best in all aspects in order to make them a "complete" ball player and an outstanding member of their community.
