Girls High School Lacrosse Information
Arizona girls high school lacrosse is run by the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association. Team tryouts are typically held sometime in December and official practices begin in January. The high school lacrosse season games run from February through April. Playoffs are typically held in late April/ early May followed by a state championship game.
If your school does not have a team, you are welcome to play on another team. Girls grade 7-12 are welcome to tryout (7th and 8th graders are eligible to play on a JV team).
Below is a list of 2009 teams and information. Many teams have pre season programs and practices. Contact your school if you are interested in participating in Girls High School Lacrosse 2009!
For 2009: Varsity to split into two divisions A and B - two state champions will be named, one in the top-flight division and one in the lower-tiered division.
A Division - Horizon, Corona Del Sol, Chaparral, Pinnacle, Gilbert and Desert Mountain
B Division - Desert Vista, Xavier, Phoenix Country Day, Dobson, Notre Dame Prep, Tucson and Mountain Pointe
JV Division- Chaparral, Corona Del Sol, Gilbert, Horizon, OConnor, Pinnacle and Xavier
