Sunday, March 29 Changes for SOFTBALL in District 2 HOT NEWS: CHANGES FOR LL SOFTBALL IN THE NORTH/NORTHWEST District 2 Leagues PEORIA GIRLS SOFTBALL LITTLE LEAGUE has been formed for the residents within the boundaries of Peoria Mountain View LL, Rio Vista LL, and Sidewinder LL. This new league created specifically for girls ages 5 - 18 will offer LL Softball starting with the 2009 Spring Season. For information, please go to My Site News for your local league. The previous North Valley LL Softball combined league no longer exists, and is no longer affiliated with Little League. The LL Softball Program is still available, however, if you live within the boundaries of the following leagues, you will need to register your daughter(s) directly with that league for Softball this year: Arrowhead, Cactus Wren, Deer Valley, Shaw Butte, Thunderbird, Village Meadows -- Please check the boundary map/web sites under My Site News for Registration Information. Any questions, please contact Dave Eaton at deeaton7@aol.com or Diane O'Brien at dianeazd2@cox.net

NOTE: you may only register your child with the League in which the child resides. If you live close to the edge of a boundary, please contact one of the leagues and confirm which league your are in, BEFORE you go to registration. Local Leagues MAY NOT register any child outside of their specific boundary areas. Sunday, November 23 LITTLE LEAGUE FOR RESIDENTS OF SURPRISE & EL MIRAGE The residents of the Surprise/El Mirage area have expressed interest in starting their own Little League Program. We are working through the process, and need parent support to establish a successful program. Mike Humes has graciously stepped forward to get this league started. If you can help in any way, or have a child interested in playing, please contact Mike Humes at mahumes@msn.com or by phone at 602-579-4551. Every Little League is comprised of community volunteers. Mike needs your help to get this going so your child has a place to play!
