Usually, it was a mom in the stands. Nancie used to keep score for me when I first started coaching, and I got spoiled. She used to give clinics on scorekeeping. She could probably keep score for the Dbacks and be right on. Here's a link on how to keep score of a ballgame. Pick up a scorebook at a local sporting goods store, and when spring training starts, try scoring a few of the games. Turn the sound down during a game on TV, score the game.
