Course objective

Jamboree is an 8 week program that provides a fun, safe and pressure-free environment for 4 year old players to learn the basics of soccer through the guidance of skilled instructors and utilizing AYSOs Jamboree Parent with Player program.

Jamboree Parent with Player

This program is designed to provide the player with the familiarity and guidance of a parent or other adult supervisor during new and unfamiliar drills and activities. Parents should be ready to run and perform drills with their player at every training day.

Training Day Agenda

New training groups of 5-6 players will be formed every session. Each training session will include drills specific to a certain basic part of soccer (dribbling, shooting, trapping). Every training session will also include a short sided 20 minute game. The entire session should last no longer than 1 hour and 15 minutes with allotted time for proper hydration.

Parental Involvement

EVERY parent or participating adult will be required to submit a volunteer application and take the Safe Haven online training. Players will be required to have a participating adult in order to take part in the session. 1 (one) adult from each group will be asked to be a game supervisor to guide the players for that game, all other parents are encouraged to cheer positively from the side with out coaching or giving direction.
