Region 6 Happenings  

Regional Commissioner Nominations

Think you've got what it takes to run Region 6.

Nominations are being accepted for the position of Regional Commissioner.

Nominations will be accepted until December 14, 2016.

To be considered for the position of Regional Commissioner, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and desired skills. 

  • Have some management skills.
  • Have acknowledged unswerving commitment to AYSO, their Governing Documents and their Philosophies.
  • Have administrative abilities.
  • All individuals may apply, experience in AYSO and as a board member is a plus.
  • Successfully passed a screening including a background check.
Once a candidate has been voted in by the Region Board, they still must be approved by the Area Director, Section Director and the National Board of Directors.

The election will take place December 20, 2016.

   Region 6 AYSO is now accepting Board and Staff Position nominations for the 2017 season.  

  • Who can join the board?
    • Any member of Region 6 can apply to be nominated for a Board or Staff Position.
  • What credentials do I need? 
    • Candidates must have an approved up to date volunteer form on file and be ready to complete all the required training for the desired position if approved.
  • What positions are open?
    • All Board and Staff Positions are open as they are a one year term.

 The election will take place December 20, 2016.

  • Families please know that WE ARE IN NEED OF REFEREES. WE CANNOT OFFER COMPETITIVE GAMES WITHOUT THEM. VOLUNTEER AND BECOME ONE TODAY...FOR MORE INFORMATION CLICK HERE
  • Want to Volunteer? Log into www.eayso.org and become one today.
  • Are you currently coaching a U8 through U19 team. Are you interested in coaching a Spring Select team for the 2017 Spring season? If so, please fill out the application by clicking here. We are looking for eager, motivated, and qualified coaches. If you have any questions please reach out to us via our "Contact Us" Tab above. The coach application deadline is October 19, 2016.
  • Is your child is in need for School Volunteer or Christian Hours? Is your child age 12 or older and wish to volunteer? If so, log onto www.eayso.org and fill out a Youth Volunteer Form.  Know that this is a Great Opportunity for them. If they are 12 years of age or older and would like to become a referee or volunteer for the region, please log-in to www.eayso.org and fill out a Youth Volunteer Form. Parents, just so you know, if they volunteer for referee they will be placed in U8 games or be Assistant Referee's (AR).
  • Families please know that our Region is in NEED OF REFEREES.We cannot offer Competitive Games without them. We have 17 games which need to be covered EVERY weekend. Which means we have 61 spots that NEED to be filled, and our region ONLY HAS A TOTAL OF 18 REFEREES that volunteer every weekend!!  
    PLEASE VOLUNTEER AND BECOME ONE TODAY...

    • Please Note: Each individual Coach will decide when they will hold practice for their own team.

 FOR OUR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING'S,

PLEASE VISIT OUR BOARD MEETINGS PAGE FOR DATE INFORMATION AND LOCATION ADDRESS.


A few reminders for AYSO events: 
  • Dogs or other pets are NOT allowed (not even on leashes) during AYSO functions, with the exception of Service Dogs.  If you are spotted with your pet, you will be asked to please remove your pet from the field.

Please note that this policy is in place  to ensure a safe environment for players, coaches, referees, and spectators

  • As we sit on the sideline looking onto the warm-ups and games, remember our Kid Zone Policy and Do not Forget to Always Respect ALL of our VOLUNTEERS!!! Starting with the Coaches all the way to our Junior Referees.

If you are not happy with a situation on the field, please bring it up to the Coaches' attention, Division Coordinator or any Board Member, they/we will be more than happy to help.
