AYSO Region 1200: Welcome

AYSO Region 1200 is awarded the AYSO Platinum Award for 2012!

Platinum Regions represent the best of the best that AYSO has to offer. These Regions model AYSO's philosophies and commitment to providing the best family friendly youth soccer experiences for all players and parent volunteers throughout their immediate communities and beyond. They nurture the generous spirit of participants and devote extra effort to providing assistance to many worthy charitable causes.

It is with very heavy hearts that AYSO Cathedral City (Region 1200) reflects on the unexpected passing of beloved Regional Commissioner, Diane Keat. Diane will always be fondly remembered as the foundation and backbone of AYSO Region 1200. She will be dearly missed.

The Diane Keat Memorial Fund has been setup to help with the funeral costs for the Keat Family.

ATTENTION REGION 1200 REFEREES...

We have started to use RefereeSchedule.com to help us streamline scheduling of refs to games. RefereeSchedule.com is a powerful and easy-to-use web based application to help us make assignments more efficient!

With RefereeSchedule.com referees can schedule their available time and can request to be scheduled for games. Communications, including scheduling confirmations, are made easier via texts to your mobile phone and/or email.

What we would like for everyone to have within three weeks of making a profile on Referee Scheduler is... 

1. A profile picture
2. A valid mobile number
3. Your availability inputed into your schedule
4. And a small piece of info about yourself

At the beginning of the soccer session we will be taking photos of our Referees for your profile, The Date is to be announced.

Everyone Plays - Every player in Region 1200 plays 3 quarters before any teammate plays 4. Our V.I.P. program also gives children with special needs the opportunity to play soccer.

Open Registration - No local boundaries. No try-outs and no cuts. All that is required is interest and enthusiasm.

Balanced Teams - No stacked teams. All teams are re-created each season with a cross-section of talent and experience.

Positive Coaching - We train our coaches to offer positive instruction and encouagement rather than negative criticism.

Good Sportsmanship - AYSO strives to create a positive environment based on respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude.

Player Development - Enjoyment of the game for the players is enhanced by improvement of technical skills and better understanding of soccer tactics. Our coaching program is focused on player development.
