AYSO Philosophies

Everyone Plays: Every child plays at least half of every game (Region 746 instructs its coaches to allow each child to play at least three quarters of each game).

Balanced Teams: Teams are formed each year (no carry-over from last year's team other than the coach's child), and are constructed so that all teams have essentially the same chance to succeed. When games are one-sided, neither the teams nor the players are satisfied, and little is gained by either team.

Open Registration: AYSO does not restrict membership on the basis of talent, race, religion, nationality, or creed.

Positive Coaching: Soccer is FUN for players, coaches, and parents. Make it so!

Good Sportsmanship: We want to create a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all-cost attitude. All of our programs must be designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
