A.V. Air Attack has gone through quite a transition in 2008. Roster changes, balancing player schedules and moving up to 14U play at 60-90 bases.
We have both lost and gained players to and from High School. With some of our players now attending High School, scheduling has taken on a different dynamic as we try to accomodate as many players as possible and still have enough to enter tournaments.
At the end of 2007, we moved to the 14U Division, 60-90 fields. This was done in preparation for High School play. As we expected, the players had to make many adjustments. The team has done very well, in spite of them being a very young team. Seven of the twelve players are playing at one age group higher that they should be.
Recently, we have advanced in the Championship game. Pitching remains extremely strong. Strong defense continues to be the foundation of the team. When the bats are alive, we can compete with anyone!

AV Air Attack has openings for 1-2 players! This is a rare opportunity to join a remarkable team. Air Attack is a 14u Travel Baseball Team. We have been playing together for 5 years and have a solid and respected reputation throughout Southern California USSSA, Super Series and Triple Crown Sports.
2008 brings outstanding opportunities for the team as we plan to participate in tournaments in Southern California, Colorado and Arizona. We play on High School Field Dimensions (60'6', 90') with the emphasis on preparation for High School Competition. Interested players can not turn 15 prior to May 1, 2008. In addition to baseball prowess, the following attributes are important: sportsmanship; an attitude which includes teamwork, hard work ethic, a positive outlook; and willing to have fun! AV Air Attack is Community based team, we give back to the community through many charitable works such as Cancer Walk, Adopt a Soldier, St. Vincent De Paul's food drives.... AV Air Attack received a grant from Wal Mart- West Palmdale. The team received this support for their Community spirit and involvement. Yvette Epps-Lee applied for the Grant. Monies are only rewarded to those organizations who can establish a need AND have proven that they have and will continue to give back to the community. The Grant was presented to Yvette at a meeting attended by the Wal Mart associates and Managers. Upon receiving the Grant- we had to idenify who we were and how the money would be used. Wal Mart associates were impressed with our commitement to activity outside of playing baseball. Especially our recently adopted program - "Adopt a Soldier"!
Thanks Wal mart... we hope to make you Proud!

You will need to go to this site and register, be sure to use our beneficiary #. After registering, please be sure to order your recycling materials ie: pre-paid ink boxes, toner boxes, and envelopes. If you have any contacts with any business etc please provide them with boxes or envelopes whatever their needs.
