AF97 Places 3rd at the 10th Annual Pancho Clause in San Antonio 12-7-08
AF97 played in the Pancho Clause tournament benefitting local charities in the San Antonio area. It turned out to be a very odd bracket once the pool games were over since this was only a 3 game guarantee. We started off pool play against the SA Knights 12u and would come away with the victory. Our first bracket game was set against the Eagles Elite, we won the toss and selected home team. Eagles would put up 2 runs against us on 2 errors, certainly not how we wanted started but we would respond with 2 runs of our own. 2nd inning we would hold them scoreless while we would push 1 run across the plate. 3rd inning would come with some critical mistakes on our part and giving up 4 unearned runs. We would score 3 more in the bottom half of the inning to send the game into ITB. They are up to bat first with a runner @ second and no outs. They would score the runner at second on a fielders choice but that would be it. We are at the top of our lineup and our first batter hits a hard shot down the first baseline but 1B makes a nice play and snags it, our runner at 2nd slips on the way back to second and they are able to tag her out for the double play. 2nd batter gets a single and steals 2nd. 3rd batter gets walked and our runner advance on a pass ball at the plate. Cleanup batter comes up and hits a hard shot straight to the F4 for the 4-3 game ending play.
Going to the left side of the bracket meant we could only hope for a 3rd place finish. We would win the next 3 bracket games against Lady Rage Black (7-4), River City Lady Raptors (5-2) and SA Coyotes (7-0) for our 3rd place finish. We felt like we had legitmate shot at winning this tournament but too many mistakes in the first game cost us dearly. We are still proud of our ladies as they did a good job with the bats but we need to tighten up our defense to win a tournament. Heading into spring we are very excited with what we have on our team and will work hard to get our defense up to par. We are planning on traveling alot in 2009to face some strong teams outside our area and we need to work hard to compete. We feel confident our girls can make the necessary adjustments and can't wait to get back on the fields!

Austin's Finest 97 played in the 3rd Annual Turkey Bash this weekend and played alot of softball. The format was a 6 game gaurantee with 5 pools games seeding bracket play on Sunday. It was a cold windy Saturday when we started off against the Comets 97, our defense and offense started slow but were able to come alive for the win. The next challenge would be against the 96 Austin Stars, a well coached team that we always look forward to playing. Unfortunately we made a few defensive miscues and we can't do that against this team. They took the victory and we ran into some bad luck and lost a player for the tournament on a play at the plate. Down to 10 players we continued on and our next game was against the Stix 96. We started off on defense but could not get the bats going until the 3rd inning when we put up 4 runs. Stix would also come out strong with 3 quick hits to start the inning and a homerun to tie it up. Next inning we would score 1 run on a few pass balls and we were able to hold them in the last inning to take the win. Xplosion 97 was our next game and we would score 2 runs in the first but so did Xplosion, we would keep that score until the last inning were we put up 4 more runs and hold Xplosion for the win. Texas Blaze Bailey was our final game on Saturday and with patience at the plate we were able to score 6 runs in the first, add 1 more in the second while holding Blaze to 1 run for the win. We finished as the 2nd seed in our pool schedule and would face the Kaos 12u for our first bracket game on Sunday.
Sunday was another cold day but at least the wind had stopped and the sun was shining bright. We would put up 2 runs but Kaos would match it with 2 errors on our part. Kaos would score 3 more in the 2nd on 2 more errors from us and scored 1 more in the 3rd. We would take the lead in the 4th with 4 runs to take a 1 run lead but Kaos has the last bat. Their first batter goes down but we would walk the next batter. 3rd batter puts the ball in play but we get the lead runner at 2nd for the second out. 4th batter hits a hard shot up the middle that F8 can't handle, 1 run scores and we get the ball in the infield, Kaos waves the winning run home and we can't make the play at the plate and end up with a loss to send us to the conselation bracket. We would then face Stix 96 and come out with a big 12-2 win. We would face Kaos again and this time come out strong with a 7-0 shutout, a in the park grand slam but end up losing another player for the weekend with a sprained foot. Groove was our final game of the weekend and this error plagued game really summed up how this weekend went, we made a little rally at the end of the game as we were the home team but made some miscues and Groove took the victory, final score 8-6. Too many errors were made this weekend to try and make it to the championship so we still have our work cut out and our last tournament for the fall is only 3 weeks away. Congatulations to the tournament champs Texas Longhorns 96, they can really hit the ball well and we can see why they were the ASA Fall State Champions. Another congratulations to our sister team AF96 finished for their 2nd place finish in the tournament, we are glad we have you girls to support us even when we are down.

AF97 fought hard this weekend in Temple and played some very good 12u teams and comes away with another 4th place finish.
We went into this tournament with exactly 9 players as 2 players were injured and could not play. We did a good job against some older teams. We started off pool play against the Limestone Heat and Blazin Angels. We would take victories in both games with some amazing offensive performances in both games. Sunday Our first bracket game would be against Blazin Angels, we would start off again with hot bats going through our lineup nearly twice and opening a big lead and a win. We would then face LCP CHAOS 96, it's been a while since we faced this team. We would come out agressive and score 2 quick runs in the 1st, 1 run in the 2nd and 3 runs in the 3rd and 4th inning while holding CHAOS to 2 runs and another win! Next up would be a real challenge against Hit-N-Run 95. They came back on our sister team AF96 in their first bracket game with a win in ITB. Now they would face another AF team with just as much heart as our older team, they would score 1 run on an error in the first and hold us scoreless in the first 2 innings. They would go up 3-0 on us but we made a little rally with some aggressive baserunning to close the gap 3-2 in the 3rd inning. Unfortunately we let this one get away as they scored 2 more in the last inning and held us so off to the elimination bracket we go.
Next up we would face our sister team AF96, this is the third time in the last 3 tournaments we have faced each other in elimination games and it is a hard battle everytime we play each other because no one wants to go home. We started off with some good hitting in the first inning scoring 4 runs right away, our defense was good as well holding them scoreless until the end of the game. We would score one more run in the last inning and it was a run we needed as AF96 made a great comeback scoring 4 runs in the last inning. We fought hard for the emotional win as they had a runner in scoring position that could have sent un into ITB if we didn't stop them. It was a great game as always and these types of games will only make us stronger for the future. Our final game would come against Outkast and we started off really sluggish this game. Our 9 girls were getting tired and the hard fought game against AF96 did not carry over to this game, the bats were flat and we could tell the girls were drained from the defensive errors they made. Overall we would go 5-2 in the tournament including pool games. Hopefully by the next tournament we can have our other 2 players back so we can be more felxible with the roster and get back to a championship game. Great job ladies, keep working hard we are all very proud of you!!

Austin's Finest 97 played in the 3rd Annual Cotton Pickin Classic this weekend and played some really close games but came up short in both elimination games. We started off strong on our first two pool games against Austin Storm and Texas Blaze Bailey with big hits and a few homeruns. Our first bracket game against the Stix 96 and right away we would make some defensive miscues giving them a few unearned runs. Being down 8-3 in the last inning our girls fought back hard with some great hitting and baserunning but we came up just shy with an 8-7 loss and heading to the elimination bracket right away. We have been in this position before so you can't us out yet.
Later on that evening we faced Texas Blaze Sochacki and with patience at the plate we were able to load the bases and clear them with a hard hit to the right center gap. We would go on to win this game and return Sunday for eveyone's favorite 8am game. Diamond She Devils would be our next opponent and this game would be a good defensive battle for the first 2 innings before our girls started finding the gaps and would put up 8 runs in the 3rd inning with some great bunts and hard hits to the outfield for the win. Our next challenge would be against our sister team AF96 and just like our last tournament we came and battled hard but came up short again. Top of the 1st inning and we would hold them scoreless while we scored 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. We would hold them scoreless again in the 2nd inning but we could not score anything as well. 3rd inning they would put up 2 runs on some defensive errors and go on to score 2 more while holding us scoreless the rest of the game. AF96 went on to win the entire tournament outscoring everyone by 9 or more points, congratulations AF96 on your championship.
Overall we played 6 games including pool with a 4-2 record. We faced all 96 teams and we can't express how excited we are about our girls and how well they are competing in just their 3rd 12u tournament. We are really hitting the ball well but need to make those little plays that will put us on top of those close 1 run games. Keep working hard ladies, we are all very proud of you!!

AF97 heads to Waco this weekend for the Slide into Fall 12u tournament and comes away with a well deserved 4th place finish in the 18 team field. We have to say that Riverbend facility is one of the nicest we have ever played in and will definitely come back again. With that said we would also be surprised that there was only 1 pool game and then straight into bracket but it worked out pretty good. Our only pool game was against the Limestone Heat and we would come out with great defense and some amazing offense with a 10-2 win.
Off we go to the bracket and we would face what we thought was a familiar Groove team but this was not the same team we expected. They picked up a lot of good players that we are familiar with and they ended up giving us a really good game that lasted 2 ½ hours, 8 innings with the last 3 innings in ITB. We had a few chances to put the game away in our favor but could not get it done and would go to the elimination bracket right away with a tough 7-6 loss. We have been in this predicament before and this was going to be a real challenge with this many teams. We would then play 3 more games Saturday night with the last game coming on the same field that we played the Groove pushing our start time about 1 hour back and would not finish until 10:30 that night. To top it all off we had to be back for the dreaded 8am game Sunday morning.
Young Legends was our next challenge and we knew this was a good team as we had played them earlier on in the year were we lost to them on the last play of the game. This time was not any different but instead we came away with a 1 point victory with some timely bunts and hits. We would win one more game before facing off with our sister team Austin’s Finest 96. It was a good defensive game for the first 3 innings as the score was 1-0 in favor of 96. We would put 1 run on the board against them but they would score 5 more to take the victory and end up placing 2nd overall, great job AF96. Overall we played 7 bracket games total, going 5-2 and finishing in 4th place. We faced a lot of good pitchers this weekend and we are really excited as we outscored our opponents 38-18!

Austin’s Finest has moved up to 12u and started off on in the right direction. We played in the One Day Back to School Bash in San Marcos TX to shake off the rust for our fall season. We added 3 new players to our roster, Brittany Cruz, Halle Thigpen and Heather Mobley and they all played with a lot of hustle and teamwork. We would go undefeated in this tournament and would put up some great number with the bats as we outscored our opponents 24-3 during bracket play. Way to start off the season ladies!
July 12th / 13th
USFA World Series Panama City Beach, Florida Austin’s Finest is in Panama City this week for the USFA 10u “A” World Series and the rain has been coming down like cats and dogs. This is the first time our team has traveled out of state for an event this big and everyone is very excited. The pin trading and parade were in complete chaos because of the weather but our girls enjoyed their time meeting other girls from every age group from all over the country! We were fortunate on our pool game draw as we were scheduled to play all 3 pool games on Monday back to back starting @ 12:30. Our first pool game was against the Fairplay Fillies from Winston, GA. Pool play was scheduled for 75 minutes finish the inning, Fillies won the toss and selected home team. Here we go and our lead off hitter reaches first on an overthrow from the defense. She steals 2nd and our second batter moves her over to 3rd on a sac bunt. 3rd batter comes up and puts the ball in play and our runner from third scores on a fielder’s choice. Our clean up hitter is retired and we get to work on defense. First pitch to the batter and the rain starts coming down again! We walk the first batter and the umpires stop the game because of the rain. After about 30 minutes the rain stopped and we started playing the waiting game. We were really impressed with the drainage system the fields had in place because it came down pretty hard and we were scheduled to start @ 4:00 pm. Our fields drained exceptionally well so a few of our coaches got some rakes and helped the maintenance crews get the fields ready for our girls to play. Right when we were almost done the rain started AGAIN! We couldn’t believe this, everyone left the complex because it seemed like we were done for the day.
Just as soon as we get back to the hotel, we get a call from USFA asking us to be back at 7:10 to play and the fields are a good 40 minutes away from the hotel, fearing we would loose our pool games because of rain we headed back to the fields to get two games in. Our second pool game was against Texas Sting from Houston, Texas and didn’t start until 8:30. Pool games would be shortened to 60 min drop dead and Sting wins the toss, they select visitors so we begin on defense. We would walk 2 batters across the plate, certainly not how we wanted to start the game. Our bats came out hot for this game as we everyone was making contact with the ball. We would score 2 in the inning and back to work on defense. We would let one more run come in on a wild pitch and then back to work with the bats. Our first batter comes up and hits a monster shot OVER the left field fence for a solo HOMERUN, great hit Victoria! Time would eventually run out and we would end in a tie. Second pool game was against TPS 97 out of Deer Park, Texas. We knew they could play really well as they won the TEXAS USFA 10u “A” state tournament. We were putting the bat on the ball but not like the hard shots we had in the previous game. TPS has some really good hitters and can run the bases well. We couldn’t match up with their offense and they won this game but we were glad we played them as we had not had the chance to meet up with them all year down in the lone star state.
July 15th – 17th
Pool games continued through Tuesday but we were not scheduled to play so our girls really enjoyed their day off. We still held an early practice just to keep the girls going and afterwards everyone headed out to the beach and waited to see were we would fall in the bracket that wasn’t going to be drawn until late Tuesday afternoon. Our girls had a great time playing volleyball on the beach and getting wet in the pool and in the Gulf of Mexico. Others went to the local shops and did some shopping but overall everyone had a blast. Brackets go up and we get another break as we are not scheduled to play until Thursday against the Comets 97 from Huntsville, Alabama. Wednesday was another day off but we asked our girls not to get wet any longer as most of them spent then entire day on Tuesday in the water. We wanted them to be well rested for Thursday’s bracket games. This gave them opportunities to do other things along the strip like Ripley’s Believe or Not, movies anything else that didn’t involve getting wet. Our girls did not like this one bit but it paid off during our bracket play. Our first bracket game started at 12:30 and what seems like a regular occurrence we lost the coin toss and the Comets select home. We never seem to get a break during the toss but we will take whatever we get. First batter up and she hits a hard shot and reaches on a overthrow and proceeds to steal second on the very next pitch. Second batter up and she puts a nice sac bunt to move the runner over to third. Third batter up and she drives the ball to score the run. 4th batter goes down, 2 out on us now. 5th batter goes down swinging but wait, the catcher drops it and she makes it to first. She takes off on the next pitch and makes it easily as the defense doesn’t want to let the runner at third score. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, batter number 6 comes out and hits a hard chopper over the pitcher scoring our runner on third and advancing 2nd to 3rd. Next pitch and it gets behind the catcher for another score. Batter number 7 is retired and we get to work on defense. Our pitcher is doing a great job on the mound keeping the other players off balanced and takes the first 3 batters down. Both teams would go scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd inning. We would score one more run while holding the Comets scoreless for a 4-0 win in our favor. Great job on defense and offense ladies, now on to meet the 97 Explosion who also comes from Alabama.
Explosion 97 had won their previous two bracket games against the Indiana Gators and Anderson Express 97. Once again we loose the coin toss and are up to bat first, we go 3 up and 3 down which rarely happens but we get back to work on defense and hold them to 4 batters with no score. 2nd and 3rd inning go scoreless for both teams, this is a battle but our girls kept fighting. 4th inning comes around and we start putting the bat on the ball. 2 hard hits get us close to home but we get caught in a pickle at the plate and can’t score. Another hard hit brings in the runner on base for the first score of the game. 1 more bunt and we move the runner over to 3rd but the defense is caught sleeping and we also reach 1st. It seems like we are on a roll but we were not able to capitalize with runners on as the next 2 batters go down. Back on defense and their first batter is retired, next 2 batters reach base by walks and 2 hard hits bring in 1 runner but we also stop 1 runner from scoring at home with some good defensive work. Score is all tied up and we go into ITB. Runner on second, no outs and a hard base hit brings in the runner from second but that’s all we could muster. Defense needs a stop to end this game, first batter gets a good hit and but we hold the runner at second, next two batters pop out and the pressure is on their batters now. Next batter gets a hard hit to shallow center field, they wave the runner coming from second to home but our center fielder makes a nice throw to home to get the runner in a pickle for the third out to get the win. Great work ladies, this was a difficult game with both teams battling to the end.
Friday afternoon would be our next challenge against the 97 North Alabama Rockets, we had heard about this team all week so we were eager to play them because we always like playing the best teams, it only makes us step up our game as well. Things just didn’t go right from the beginning of this game as they had a great pitcher who kept our hitters off balance and they scored 4 unearned runs against us in the first inning which was too much for our girls to overcome. It was a tough loss for our team because everyone knew we could have played much better than we did. This was a 1 game day win or loose and since this was our last evening we let our girls go swimming 1 more time as most would be leaving right after the last game on Saturday.
Saturday morning would be the start of the Gold Bracket and it would hold 3 Texas Teams; Austin’s Finest 97, Lady Stros and High Voltage, 2 Tennessee teams; Worth 97 and Frost Falcons and 1 Alabama Team; North Alabama Rockets. We would face off against the Frost Falcons and we would come out with hot bats and great pitching for this early morning game. We actually won the coin toss and selected the home team. We would bat 7 in the bottom of the first but could only score 1 as we left the bases loaded. Our pitcher had an incredible game as she pitched a no hitter against them with her defense helping out we were able to shut them down every inning 3 up and 3 down. In the second inning our 2nd baseman turned a double play, great job! We scored 3 more in the 3rd and on we went to face Worth 97 who made a long trip back up the loser’s bracket after losing a close first bracket game.Worth 97 was determined and our defense did not play their usual game as we had too many errors to overcome and could not get our bats going to get back in the game. We played hard until the end but Worth made the plays and we didn’t. Congratulations Worth on your second place finish, you’re a great team! Austin’s Finest 97 placed 4th in the 23 “A” team tournament and was a huge accomplishment for our girls. We are proud of all of our girls, they played their hearts out and it showed! Congrats to the North Alabama Rockets for their 1st place finish and High Voltage for the 3rd place finish. Our girls will begin their journey into 12u in the fall and we couldn’t be more excited, way to go ladies!

Austin's Finest decided to stay close to home this weekend and played in San Antonio for our last local 10u tournament before heading to the USFA World Series in Panama City, Florida. This 1 day tournament turned out to a very long day for our team as we only got 2- 1 hour breaks, playing 8 games total with the last 5 games back to back. Pool play started and we would face a familiar Groove 97 team and ended in a tie 3-3. Off to the bracket vs. the '98 Bandits of San Antonio. Our bats looked good but we kept hitting right to their players the first three innings. Our girls kept swinging and started to find the gaps and would finally win this game. Next up was Hill Country Slam and our bats would stay hot and we took an early lead but a few defensive miscues toward the end of the game gave the Slam some runs. After a small meeting the girls got everything together and another win. Now we would meet up with MOJO and we decided to let one of our pitchers who had not seen much playing time on the mound give it a shot. Our bats were pretty good the first inning as we batted five batters but only scored 1 run, bottom of the inning and we would walk 1 runner across the plate. Our next inning up and our girls would not score. Mojo's turn to bat, their first batter is hit by a pitch and they start hitting some hard shots to the outfield and push 1 more run across to take the lead. We had chances to tie the game but could not get the job done and ended with the final score 2-1.
Off to the elimination bracket we go and a long way back to the championship game. Our next game would be against a team we had not seen in quite some time, Sweet 97. We always enjoy playing this team because they are very competitive but our girls were still upset about their performance from the MOJO game. Our bats would come out hot and defensively we were on fire. We are always back and forth with Sweet 97 but today was our day and another win. Now on our 3rd back to back game is set to begin against Groove 97. Our bats stayed hot the first inning and we scored 3 runs in the top of the inning, but wait Groove is also putting the bat on the ball and they tie up the game in the bottom of the inning. Both teams would go scoreless in the second inning. We are now back at the top of our lineup again and this time everyone got to bat and would score another 5 runs. Our defense would hold the Groove scoreless and take the win. Now onto the re-match with MOJO, with the first loss still fresh in the girls mind they were ready this time. Our bats cooled down a bit as we only scored 1 run in the first 2 innings but our defense was strong and held MOJO scoreless. 3rd inning and we would score another 2 runs while still holding MOJO scoreless. 4th inning is when the bats woke up again and we would score 7 more runs while holding MOJO scoreless, taking the win and on to the championship game vs the Bombers and our 5th back to back game.
We had not played the Bombers since our Valentines tournament in February were they gave us our second loss of the tournament. Our girls had not played in a championship game for quite some time now and we could tell they were tired from our previous games but our coaches did a good job of keeping the girls hyped up. We always enjoy playing the Bombers because they are a well coached team and they were undefeated throughout this tournament. Their pitcher had picked up alot of speed since we last met up with them but our girls did a good job of adjusting to her pitching and with 2 singles and 1 triple to start we would score 2 quick runs. Bottom of the first and we walk the first batter, their second batter goes down swinging but the runner at first takes off. Our catcher makes a great throw to second and SS makes the tag for out #2, great play! Their third batter is up and with 2 strikes launches a ball to the right center gap for a homerun, nice hit #10! The next batter is retired and we keep the lead. Both teams would go scoreless in the second inning and onto the 3rd. We are back to our second batter in the lineup and she hits a shot straight to the pitcher for a real scary moment, we always hate to see a player down no matter how competitive this game is. Not being able to continue her teammate stepped in and did a great job, way to stay strong Cat hope you feel better soon! After all was said and done we would come out victorious after a long day at the ball field and we couldn't be more proud of our girls! They played their hearts out and now we are off to Florida on a high note, we would outscore our opponents 51-8 in bracket play an amazing performance for our team. Good luck ladies in Panama City!

Austin's Finest goes to Houston again but this time for USFA STATE. We started against Texas Glory 97 and our bats just did not fair well. We lost 2-1. Next up was Texas Crossfire and our bats came alive and we won 5-0, next was Lady Stros and we won 6-1. Our next game came against Texas Ice and it was game where we had a couple of plays happen that usually do not happen and could not put it behind us. Texas Ice beat us 5-1. We placed 5th in State and TPS won 1st place congratulations.

Austin's Finest goes to Houston to the Lady Stros Tournament. I would like to start off by saying this was the BEST tournament that we have attended this year. Refs, Field Maintenance, and Host Team were all incredible. We started our first bracket against the Texas Red Hots and it was a defensive battle the entire game. Red Hots got a score on a bang bang play at home plate that could have went either way. The final of the game was Red Hots 1- Finest 0. Our next game came against the Texas Crossfire and we played a smart game with Finest winning 3-1. Next up was the Texas Troublemakers this was a hitting battle. Texas Troublemakers won the battle 8-7. It was a great tournament and we were seeing Quality Teams and our hats go off to the Houston area because every team is a good hitting team. Congratulations Red Hots on your 1st place finish.
5/24/2008
Austin's Finest goes to San Antonio to the Comets Tournament in 12U. We played up this past weekend to see some good hitting teams to work our defense. Our first bracket game came against Centex Sluggers 12U and we were down 4-0 but came back in the last inning to tie the game 4-4. Centex Sluggers were home and were able to get the run to beat us. Next we faced Diamond She-Devils and won 3-0. Our next opponnet was Blitz Red and we came out victorious in this game as well 6-2. Next up were the N-Forcers out of Midland. They really hit the ball well against us and we hit right at them. We lost 6-0 and came in 5th. Not bad for playing 12U.
5/10/2008
Austin's Finest goes to Dallas to the Glitter and Gold Tournament. There were many quality teams in this tournament. We started our first bracket against Ultimate Fastpitch out of Oklahoma and we started with a loss 2-0. It was a good defensive battle they just made one more play then us. Off we go into the losers bracket and we meet up with Texas Glory 97 and won 4-1. Next up was Gametime Stars out of Oklahoma and we won 4-0. Our next game we played Andereson Express a game that went into ITB and we were able to get a timely hit and win 3-2. We had to meet up with Ultimate again and lost again to them 6-4. We ended up placing 4th so we still have more work to do.
4/13/2008
Austin's Finest goes 2-2 in their first 12U tournament. Our girls decided it was time to see what it will be like to play up. We started off strong and really looked sharp in our first 2 games of 12U and bats were making some noise. We then met up with the 95 Bombers and they really had some good hitters and gave us more then we expected. Our next loss came to La Grange. We were proud of our girls because our bats looked good at 12U. We saw some great competition and we will definetly play up a couple more times between now and Nationals. This was a good experience for us that we hope pays off for us later.
3/21/2008
Austin's Finest goes undefeated in Blaze n2 Spring. We played in a one day tournament and won all 3 pool games and both bracket games. We only allowed one run for the tournament and our pitchers, defense, and hitting were pretty solid. We want to thank our guest players for playing with us that weekend. We should be getting back 2 players back from injuries for our next tournament. That should be a big plus! We will continue to look for ways to improve our team and stay focused on getting better each time we touch the field.
3/8/2008
Grooving into Spring Austin's Finest 10U comes out undefeated. We won all our bracket games and crowned Champoions.
3/1/2008
Bombers Shootout was just like last year a very competitive tournament. Austin's Finest was able to see great competition from Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus area. We won our first 2 bracket games and met up with Texas Elite 97 and gave up one costly hit at the wrong time. We lost the game 4-3. Our next game against came against the Texas Red Hots out of Houston. We lost to them 4-1. Our team still is not fully healthy with 2 starters out for the last month. We expect them back by the end of the month and that will be a huge boost to our team.
