Players age 4 years old. 50 foot bases, no pitching. Focus is totally on instruction of beginning players. Batting tee recommended. Changes to rulebook for WRANGLER "4" Program. NOTE: The rules for Wrangler "4" will be the same as Shetland 6U EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING. a. 8-Equipment A. Baseball to be specifically manufactured and designed in such a way to reduce injuries or the seriousness of injuries. B. Bats manufactured specifically for T-Ball play are recommended, but in no case should big barrel bats be used. b. 10-Pitching Rules: The ball shall be hit off a batting tee placed on home plate only. c. Coaches will be allowed to coach on the field of play. Coaches should not touch or bodily direct defense. 3. Players (4 years old) must select prior to the start of season whether to play Shetland 6 and UNDER or WRANGLER "4". 4. If registration is sufficient in the WRANGLER "4", and Tournament Play is desired a tournament play format will be developed.
