Pony Baseball has a program known as Colt-Palomino Combined, it is for players whose league age is 15, 16, 17,18 and 19 year old. This allows these age groups to play together in regular season as well as Tournament play. The rules of play will be governed by Palomino Rules with the exception that pitchers of league age 15 and 16 are governed by the Colt League pitching rules. The league will apply annually, prior to April 15 and not later than June 15 (in the South Zone) for membership using the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM (The cost is Sixty [$60.00] dollars per team). A team will consist of not more than 18, nor less than 12 players. There will be at least one or more 15-16 year old on a team or at least one or more 17-19 year old on a team. This means that a team can consist of at least one player of Colt league age or at least one player of Palomino league age to make up a COMBINED TEAM. Colt-Palomino Combined Teams are registered as a LEAGUE and is separate from (PURE 17 thru 19 year old) Palomino registered Leagues. The two different leagues can interlock in their play but cannot be considered as one league. The original copy (white) of each Player Contract is to be sent to the Division Director(Duke Schneider) by June 30, but not later than July 5th in the South Zone. The yellow copy of the player contract to be kept with the each team. PLAYERS CANNOT BE ADDED AFTER THE JUNE 30TH DEADLINE, UNLESS IN RULE T6 - F (PAGE 14) TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS for COLT-PALOMINO COMBINED TEAMS is as follows: Each team must make a decision of how they wish to play in sanctioned tournament play. As a COLT-PALOMINO COMBINED team you have the following options. (1) To make �ALL STAR�team of 15 and 16 year old and enter a COLT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT. NOTE: A fee of $150.00 is to be paid to the COLT DIVISION DIRECTOR at the following address: Lionel R. Gonzalez Colt South Zone Director 3116 W. Burke St. Tampa, Fl 33614-5911 (813)263-3446 (2) To make �ALL STAR�team of 17 - 19 year olds and enter a PALOMINO LEAGUE TOURNAMENT. NOTE: A fee of $200.00 is to be paid to the PALOMINO DIVISION DIRECTOR at the following address: DUKE SCHNEIDER Palomino Division Director 200 Turtle Bend Georgetown, TX 78628 (3) To remain as a COLT-PALOMINO COMBINED TEAM and enter a Palomino League Tournament. A fee of $200.00 is to be paid to the PALOMINO DIVISION DIRECTOR at the following address: DUKE SCHNEIDER Palomino Division Director 200 Turtle Bend Georgetown, TX 78628 You may have any combination of the above teams within your leagues. These teams must be selected before any NATIONAL TOURNAMENT play begins. The WORLD SERIES is the final Tournament. Teams travel on their own until they reach Zone Tournament where they may receive some nominal financial assistance. No expenses will be reimbursed by the host for travel, lodging and meals until they have reached ZONE TOURNAMENT PLAY.
