The Aurora Raiders is a recreational Cheer/Dance squad established in 1998. We're a non-profit organization located in the Shoreline area. We are committed to offering high-quality training and the 'real' cheerleader experience, including official uniforms and accessories.
Our coaches are experienced cheerleaders,coaches and choreographers. Our dance coach, Ashley, has abundent experience as a university cheerleader, and has been dancing since the age of 5. Her training includes ballet, tap, jazz, cheer, drill, African, hip-hop, line, salsa, belly and modern. Her eclectic style of dance has won her numerous awards. Ashley has been teaching cheer/dance for over twelve years, and is happy to be currently on staff for the Aurora Raiders. Alyssa,our cheer coach, has been cheering since the 8th grade on both competition and high school cheer squads. She has a strong stunting and technical background along with a dance background in ballet. She is also currently a Captain on the Seattle Pacific University Cheer Squad. We are fortunate to have an additional stunting coach on staff over the summer months! Lindsay is home from college where she cheers and trains with the best! We are also offering tumbling instruction under the direction of Holly Norris. Together - their styles bring a unique and stylish flair to a talented group of cheerleaders/dancers. We're very lucky to have them with us!!!
All charge staff is trained in First Aid/Cpr. Our Director, LeEtta Rogers and Coach Ashley have completed and been awarded certification from the AACCA (American Association of Cheer Coaches and Advisors). Director LeEtta Rogers is also certified in three additional cheer safety programs as well as in risk management. The intense training from the AACCA certifies our staff in cheer safety, performance readiness, skill progressions and all aspects of cheer development.
Our squad performs at numerous Seafair Parades and a variety of community events (Taste of Edmonds, stage performances, college half-time games etc.). As of Jan/2008 we have branched off to include and offer a competition cheer squad! Our practices are held at the Shoreline Center Spartan Gym and Aurora Church of the Nazarene (175th and Meridian) here in Shoreline, Wa. (please see calendar/practice schedules for times).
We are a year-round program dedicated to developing the skills required for cheerleading at whatever level our students aim for! Whether for recreation, competition, high school or college, we provide the necessary training. NO tryouts required for the recreational squad. Competition tryouts vary, so please contact us for additional information! Our competition squad has grown to include four guys (all strong football players!) that provide the muscle for basing and 'spotting' to ensure safety even further! Guys and girls alike are welcome!

Costs are as follows:
$50
(non-refundable) Registration fee
$50 monthly tuition for Recreational Squad
$80 monthly tuition for Competition Squad
$200 Total cost of uniforms (payment plan available)
