Welcome to the Auburn CCYO website
The 2011-2012 season is upon us and we welcome all returning players, new players, coaches, parents, and friends. We are looking forward to another successful year and hope you visit our website frequently. Auburn CCYO consists of teams from Auburn, Cato, Jordan Elbridge, Moravia, Port Byron, Skaneateles, Southern Cayuga, Union Springs, and Weedsport. The league is open to all children from 2nd grade through 8th grade. The objective of the Cayuga County Youth Organization of Auburn, Inc., is to provide a recreational athletic program for our children. Our primary purpose is for our children to have fun while experiencing the physical and psychological developement offered by participation in a well supervised, competitive team sport. We believe that winning has been over emphasized in many organized children's sports programs, and that ultimately this will have a negative affect on the child's long term enjoyment of sports. Our philosophy stresses a high level of participation coupled with playing for the joy of playing. The program is strictly a recreational activity, providing opportunities for our children to have fun, to learn, and to grow. We thank the many dedicated coaches, parents, and board members who volunteer their time and effort to make Auburn CCYO a growing and successful organization for the youth of our area.

Weedsport Girls win 7/8 Grade Championship
Congratulations to Weedsports-Arnolds Family Restaurant for winning the girls 7/8 grade championship at Cayuga County Community College on Sunday January 8th. Weedsport also won the regular season crown along with going undefeated on the season. Great job to all the players, coaches and parents!! |
