Avon Township Youth Baseball & Softball: About Us
Avon Township Youth Baseball was established in 1966 to provide an opportunity for the area's youth a place to play organized baseball. ATYB is the oldest established baseball organization in the area. We have a long tradition of offering a safe and fun envrionment.
Our programs offer opportunities for Boys age 6 - 15 & Girls 6 - 18. Leagues are broken down in the following manner:
Boys Leagues Girls Leagues
Pinto: 6 - 8 Minor: 6 - 9
Mustang: 9 & 10 Major: 10 - 12
Bronco: 11 & 12 Pony: 13 - 15
Pony: 13 - 15 Tri-County: 16 - 18
Registration for the spring/summer season is generally held between the months of November through the middle of March. Registrations can be accepted beyond Mid-March, but those players may be placed on a waiting list.
Player drafts occur the last week of March/first week of April.
Practices start the 2nd week of April.
For most leagues, games start the first Saturday of May.
The regular season for the Pinto, Minor & Major leagues runs through to the 4th of July. For the older leagues the season runs to the middle of July.
Post-season playoffs are held for the Mustang, Major, Bronco & the Boys Pony leagues.
