ATX Training Camp: June 29th-July 2nd (All ATX players are offered a discount and encouraged to attend)
Youth 5th/6th Tournament: July 23rd-26th
Middle 7th/8th Tournament: July 30th- August 2nd
Freshman/ Soph Tournamnet: July 23rd-26th
Elite HS Boys Tournament: July 16th-19th
Elite HS Girls Tournament: July 9th-12th
ATX Summer Costs: (Approximate and depends on number of programs attending, players attending training camp and tournament will receive and significant discount)
1. Team Dues: $250 includes coaching, uniforms, sports, special items,
fields, insurance.
2. Travel: $400-$600 per trip, includes air and land transport
3. Tournament Dues: $500 includes room, board, and tournament.
4. Training Camp: $450 includes room, board and training camp.
2009 coaching staff:
Noah Fink
Coach Fink is in sixth year as Head Coach at the University of Texas.
In the past five years the teams has won two conference championships
and represented the Lone Star League in the National Championship.
Coach Fink grew up in Virginia and played lacrosse at the Landon School
in Maryland. He then went to Bucknell University where he started as a
midfielder and was a member of the an undefeated NCAA Division I team
in the 1996 season. In addition to coaching, Coach Fink operates teams
sales nationally for South Swell Sports. South Swell operates retail
stores and runs lacrosse leagues for children in grades 1st-12th. He
lives in Austin with his wife, Sarah, and baby girls, Kayla and Emilia.
Max Atherton
Coach Atherton is a current standout defenseman at the University of Texas. He is the ATX Middle School Coach.
Harrison Parr
Coach Parr is the Westwood Lacrosse Assistant Coach. He has been an ATX coach now for two seasons.
Becca King
Becca King played lacrosse at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
She was a member of the National Team for Northern California in 1998.
Since graduating from UCSC, she has coached middle school and high
school girls lacrosse in Massachusetts, Florida and Austin. She
currently coaches the Westwood High School girls team. Besides coaching
lacrosse, she is a social worker, currently working with children in
foster care.
Brandie Leach
Brandie Leach is the head coach of the Women's Lacrosse Team at The
University of Texas. Her team finished its first two seasons by playing
the Divisional Championship game. A level II Certified Coach, Brandie
played with the Canadian National Team for three years and in 1993
played in the World Cup in Edinborough, Scotland. Dr. Leach maintains a
successful chiropractic practice and loves spending time with her two
young children.
Megan Luther:
Megan was raised in Austin and played for Anderson High School where
she captained the team for 3 years and earned All-State honors. After
graduating, she continued her lacrosse career at the University of
Texas. While at UT, she began coaching at Austin High where she
is currently the head varsity coach. She has also coached at the
University of Texas summer lacrosse camp and South Swell Leagues.
Brian Henning
Brian grew up playing lacrosse in Lancaster, PA. He played for
Hempfield High School, starting as a freshman, where they won 3
straight league championships. He was named League All-Star for 3 years
and Co-Captain his senior year. Brian then went on to play club
lacrosse at Penn State University where they won the NCLL National
Championship in 1999. Brian has been a member of the Austin Lacrosse
Club and the Crease Monkey Lacrosse Club helping win the 2003 Mardi
Gras Tournament. Brian has been coaching in Austin for 8 years now. He
has coached for STX Lacrosse Camps, Texas Lacrosse Camps, McNeil High
School, Armadillo Youth Clinics, Westlake High School, Westlake Youth
Lacrosse, McCallum High School, South Swell Leagues, ATX LaxBats, and
Texas State University. Brian is the Austin South Swell Sports store
manager.
