Middle School: 12:30 - 1:30

High School: 1:30 - 3:00

Location:

UT - Whitaker Fields.  Located at 51st and Guadalupe. 

Girls team is by invitation only.

Players will be notified by email and on the website by May 25th if they made the team. 

Players will be evaluated by a selection committee.  Criteria for selection is: skill level, athletic ability and attitude.  All local players in the central district are encouraged to attend tryouts.

ATX Summer Costs: (Approximate)

1. Team Dues: $225  includes coaching, uniforms, sports, special items, fields, insuance.

2. Travel: $400-$600 per trip, includes air and land transport (Optional)

3. Tournament Dues: $500, includes tournament registration, andthis will depend on the number of tournaments each team attends.

4. Training camp for youth and MS teams.  Special pricing being arranged.

2008 coaching staff:

Noah Fink

Coach Fink is in fifth year as Head Coach at the University of Texas.  In the past three years the teams has won two conference championshipsand represented the Lone Star League in the National Championship.  Coach Fink grew up in Virginia and played lacrosse at the Landon Schoolin Maryland.  He then went to Bucknell University where he started as amidfielder and was a member of the an undefeated NCAA Division I teamin the 1996 season.  In addition to coaching, Coach Fink operates teamssales nationally for South Swell Sports.  South Swell operates retailstores and runs lacrosse leagues for children in grades 1st-12th.  He lives in Austin with his wife, Sarah, and baby girl, Kayla.

Bronson Parker

Coach Parker is in his fifth year as the defensive coordinator at the University of Texas.  He grew up in Houstonand played for Lamar High School, where he was a two time All-State Goalie.  In 1997, he co-founded the first lacrosse team at Lanier Middle School in Houston.  He later found several of the starting players at the University of Texas.  He attended the University of Texas, where he started his final two seasons,claiming All-American status both seasons.  He was named the Lone Star Alliance Championship Most Valuable Player in 2002. He began coaching at the high school level for St. Michael's Academy in Austin before moving on to the University ofTexas in 2004.  He has developed the Longhorn defense into a cohesive unit,focusing on aggressive team defense.

Andy Garrigan

Coach Garrigan is the currenthead coach at Austin High with an overall record 52-27.  The program has won the central district championship twice in the last four years.  Coach Garrigan was named the Central District Coach of theyear in 2007.  Coach Garrigan is also the director and coach of Team Texas Youth teams.

Tim Florence

Coach Florence is the current head coach at St. Mary’s Hall.  He is also the Middle School Dean of Students.  Coach Florence is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Max Atherton

Coach Atherton is a current standout defenseman at the University of Texas.  He is the ATX Middle School Coach.

Harrison Parr

Coach Parr is the Westwood Lacrosse Assistant Coach.  He has been an ATX coach now for two seasons.

Trevor Garmey

Coach Garmey is the current head coach at St. Andrew’s School.  He grew up in Virginia and recently coached at Culver Academy.  This season he has transformed the St. Andrew’s team into one of the top teams in the area.

Becca King

Becca King played lacrosse at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  She was a member of the National Team for Northern California in 1998.  Since graduating from UCSC, she has coached middle school and high school girls lacrosse in Massachusetts, Florida and Austin. She currently coaches the Westwood High School girls team. Besides coaching lacrosse, she is a social worker, currently working with children in foster care.

Brandi Leach

Brandie Leach is the head coach of the Women's Lacrosse Team at The University of Texas.  Her team finished its first two seasons by playing the Divisional Championship game. A level II Certified Coach, Brandie played with the Canadian National Team for three years and in 1993 played in the World Cup in Edinborough, Scotland.  Dr. Leach maintains a successful chiropractic practice and loves spending time with her two young children.
