SOCCER FUN FOR EVERYONE

WELCOME TO THE ATTACK YOUTH SOCCER CLUB
‘Great Kids (Ages 3 – 18) - Great Families - Great Soccer’

We are pleased that you are considering our soccer club and we hope you decide to participate in what we hope will be a fun and rewarding soccer experience for you and your child.

OUR HISTORY:
The Attack Youth Soccer Club, Inc. is a nonprofit tax exempt 501 (c)(3) Georgia corporation. AYSC received its charter from the state of Georgia on July 3rd 2001. AYSC was founded in 2001, as there was no organized competitive and recreational YOUTH soccer program located in South Dekalb, Georgia, and operated by parent volunteers with a nonprofit goal to teach fun developmental soccer to all children.

AYSC is a member of the Georgia Youth Soccer Association (GYSA) of Georgia State Soccer Association (GSSA), which is recognized by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) as the controlling authority for the development of youth soccer in the State of Georgia. The USSF is, in turn a member of the Federal Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the worldwide administrator for soccer, and the creator of the World Cup. All of our policies and procedures are derived from the international FIFA/GSSA rules with modifications to accommodate our youth players.  AYSC also partners with the CEO of Dekalb County, Georgia through Parks and Recreation to provide resources for soccer facility use for all youth in the entire county at the Southeast Athletic Complex, 5845 Hillvale Road, Lithonia, Georgia  30058.

OUR PURPOSE:
The AYSC was created to serve the needs of both the recreational and the more competitive soccer player. AYSC offers recreational soccer to children ages 3 to 18 and competitive soccer to children ages 8 to 18. Regardless of the choice, the focus of AYSC is the development of the child. Accordingly, AYSC is organized to encourage and teach character, self-esteem, self-discipline, and sportsmanship individually and in a team or group setting.

OUR EDUCATIONAL GOALS:
Attack balances soccer skills with healthy life skills. Some of our educational goals are:
* To teach youth how to handle the ups and downs of life (enjoying a win and learning from a loss).
* To encourage players to do their best.
* To teach players how academic performance enables them to participate in high school and collegiate.
* To demand the most of each individual as players and as citizens.
* To foster the development of physical, mental, social and emotional fitness.
* To teach a high level of soccer technical skills and tactics.
* To develop more recreation level soccer teams.
* To develop better competitive level soccer teams for those who desire high level competition.
* TO HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS POSSIBLE REGARDLESS OF THE LEVEL OF SOCCER CHOSEN!

OUR COMMITMENT:
The Attack Youth Soccer Club, Inc. asks the boys and girls to commit the time and effort necessary for self-improvement and contribution to the goals of their team, AYSC and the community. AYSC demands the same from the club president, board members, parents, coaches and volunteers.  We believe leading by example enhances the learning process of our youth soccer players.  .
