Welcome to A-TOWN HOOPS!
A-Town Hoops is the home of Arlington AAU Basketball. Our mission as an organization is to develop the character, talent, and skills of young basketball players in Arlington, Washington.
Arlington AAU Basketball is a competitive sports program for grades 4-8 and comprised of Select teams. This means that players try out for the teams and are selected on the basis of many variables that will lead to a competitive team make up. Not all players who try out will make the teams.
The community offers a recreational league through the Arlington Boys and Girls Club. This recreational league accepts all players. Players who do not make the select team, but want to continue playing basketball are encouraged to use the Boys and Girls Club league.
Arlington AAU Basketball is funded mainly through the parents of the players. While the total cost per team will vary, it is approximately between $150 - $225 per season per player. There are no scholarships or price reductions offered.
This league requires commitment from parents and players:
-
There will be 3-4 practices each week, at various times and places. Players are expected to attend all practices.
-
Travel is required. Games are played in Snohomish county, Skagit county, and King county. Tournaments are decided by the coach; some tournaments require overnight stays.
-
The HOLIDAY HOOP CLASSIC, our home tournament, is held the last weekend of every December. All players are expected to participate; all parents are expected to help in this major fundraiser.
Before trying out for a team, make sure that you can commit to all of the expectation of the league. Thank you for your interest in A-Town Hoops.
