A
"T-Ball" * 5 & 6 yr. olds. * Typically, the level a player would play if it was their first year playing baseball. * Players will be assigned to a team based on the school that they attend. * No score is kept! * As players get more experienced, games may move to coach pitch vs. strictly t-ball. * Very instructional, a lot of fun! AA "Coach Pitch" * Typically ages 7-9 years old. * Players will be assigned via a modified "draft" procedure to construct each team. * Coaches pitch to batters. * No score is kept. AAA (Minors) Introductory "Kid Pitch" * Ages 8-12 with most players being 9 and 10 year olds. * Due to the experience and skill level of players, base running is usually controlled (e.g. stealing or advancing on passed balls may not be allowed). This allows coaches and players to focus on core skills that need to be developed. * An electronic "draft" procedure will be used to construct each team. * It is the Board's intention to have an equitable distribution of ages on each team, whenever possible. This will depend on registration numbers. AAAA (Minors) Experienced "kid pitch" * Ages 9-12 with most players being 10 and 11 year olds. * Play will follow LL rule book (including base running) and ATLL By-Laws regarding pitch count. * An electronic "draft" procedure will be used to construct each team. * It is the Board's intention to have an equitable distribution of ages on each team, whenever possible. This will depend on registration numbers. This will depend on registration numbers.
