WELCOME to the Atlas San Diego website.
We would like to take this brief moment to welcome you and your family to Atlas San Diego S.C. This year will be a very busy and yet rewarding time for your son or daughter playing the world’s sport! The program that has been put together is both innovative and is known throughout the southern California area. We will continue to grow as a club and see our objectives met with perseverance and excellence, and will be both fun, yet challenging.
Atlas San Diego Mission Statement is outlined below. However, within this statement you will find many goals and desires of our Club. This statement tells us a lot of what we believe makes a sound and rewarding program for the youth of our community. We believe that if all players, coaches and parents understand these goals before becoming a member, that their time with us will be very rewarding.
The success of any volunteer program lies in the membership understanding fully what their commitments are. We wish to be both up front and truthful about all commitments that are required of the families, administrative officers and coaches. With that said, we must all step back for a moment and realistically view what the needs are in belonging to this organization. We feel that the Mission Statement is a good starting point for this understanding. The goals are realistic and attainable. It is only through a complete and accurate understanding from all parties involved with this organization that the success and the fulfillment of those goals are achieved.
Our soccer club stands for excellence in its approach to teaching the junior player those elements of life being learned through sport. We hear many times that sport mirrors life. We take this one aspect very seriously. We aim to not mirror the negatives of life but establish those avenues that we define as the tools for success in all life’s “ins and outs”.
OUR VISION: Atlas San Diego's vision is to provide soccer programs of the highest quality from the grassroots level (developmental) up to competitive: AA, AAA, and Premiere level for both girls and boys in the South Bay area.
OUR MISSION:
*Programs are accessible and affordable to all.
*Players are selected and placed onto a team of equal or near to their ability.
*We pride ourselves on positive coaching, creating enjoyable atmospheres and working with a real passion for the game.
*Maximum playing time for everyone is assured.
*Winning is learning!
*Passion, love and fun are attained through the playing of the world’s sport.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED BY:
*Programs that are economically affordable.
*Providing the highest standard of coaching.
*Developing pride in being an Atlas player, coach or parent.
*Stressing administrative efficiency.
*Developing a special volunteer network.
*Establishing a strong financial position.
*Developing the soccer field as “a home” for the Atlas family.
*Emphasizing the challenges of the ball as our teacher.
*Develop the technical aspects of the game from the basic fundamentals to advanced techniques and tactics.
*Promoting good sportsmanship, in players, coaches and parents.

In closing, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning players, parents and coaches to Atlas San Diego. I hope that the upcoming soccer season will be a rewarding one.
