Atkinson Youth Baseball and Softball registration for 2008 spring recreational Baseball, Softball, and Instructional Ball.
Walk-In Registrations: Mon January 14, 2008 (6 - 8 pm), Sat. January 19, 2008 (9 am - 1 pm) @ Atkinson Community Center.
Deadline January 20 (late registrations at league's discretion). |

$125 Junior-League Baseball, $85 Baseball/Softball, $45 Instructional Baseball/Softball/Tee Ball |

| Fees and Eligibility: |
$125 Junior-League Baseball (co-ed, ages 13-15).
$85 Baseball (co-ed, ages 7-12).
$85 Softball (girls, ages 7-16).
$45 Instructional Baseball (co-ed, ages 6-8).
$45 Instructional Softball (girls, ages 6-8).
$45 Instructional Tee Ball (co-ed, ages 5-6).
Baseball/Tee Ball ages are as of 4/30/08.
Softball ages are as of 12/31/07. |
| Discounts and Other Fees: |
Discount $30 per player after first 2 players.
Late fee $10 per family (after January 20, 2008).
For online registrations, processing fees of 6.5% + $1 per-player apply.
Registrations are not valid without payment in full. In the case of financial difficulty, call (and do not use online registration!). |
| Team Placement: |
Team placements are based on age and ability. Requests can not always be granted.
Ages 5-6 play first year Tee Ball, then play 1 or 2 years in Instructional before moving up. Ages 6-8 play either Instructional or Baseball/Softball (placements are based on tryouts). |
| Refunds: |
No refunds after notification of team selection. Online processing fees are non-refundable. |
| Birth Certificates: |
For regular season, birth certificates are NOT REQUIRED unless an age is questioned. For a tournament, a certified birth certificate MUST be provided for the entire tournament. |
| Spring/Summer: |
This registration is for spring. A separate registration and fee exists for summer leagues. |
| Baseball & Softball Tryouts: |
Baseball Tryouts: Sat. Feb. 9 (8:00 am - 2:00 pm). Age 12 (8:00); Age 11 (9:00); Age 10 (10:00); Age 9 (11:00); Age 8 (12:00); Age 7 (1:00). Baseball ages are as of 4/30/08.
Softball Tryouts: Sun. Feb. 10 (1:00 - 5:00 pm). Ages 7-8 (1:00); Ages 9-10 (2:00); Ages 11-12 (3:30). Softball ages are as of 12/31/07.
Both tryouts will be held at the Timberlane Middle School Gym.
Tryouts are mandatory for all players age 7-12 to ensure team placement. |

AYBS serves over 340 baseball and softball players (boys and girls) in the age range of 5
years old to 16 years old. This translates into 20+ volunteer-coached teams of 10 to 15
players each. It is the mission of AYBS to teach the fundamentals of the game as well as
to provide competitive league play and to participate in area tournaments. Please help us
in fulfilling this mission and consider becoming a General or Team Sponsor.
