  Spring 2008 Divisions  
 

Juniors Baseball
   For boys and girls generally 13 yrs to 15 yrs old who have played organized competitive baseball or are at an equivilent skill level. This league starts really in the summer (vs. spring) when larger fields become available. This league is a "travel team" that competes against neighboring towns' teams. Players pitch and catch, and base stealing is allowed. Tryouts not currently required.

Majors Baseball
   For boys and girls generally 10 yrs to 12 yrs old who have played organized competitive baseball or are at an equivilent skill level. This league is a "travel team" that competes against neighboring towns' teams. Players pitch and catch, and base stealing is allowed. Tryouts required. Age 12 (must play in this division unless awaiver is obtained).

A Minors Baseball
   Age 7 (based upon ability)to age 12 (only with a waiver).
Minors "A" being the players with more baseball knowledge and experience/ability.
This league is a "travel team" that competes against neighboring towns' teams. Players pitch and catch, and base stealing is allowed. Tryouts required.


B Minors Baseball
   Age 7 (based upon ability)to age 12 (only with a waiver).
Minors "B" being the newer players still learning the fundamentals.
This league is a "travel team" that competes against neighboring towns' teams. Players pitch and catch, and base stealing is allowed. Tryouts required. For boys and girls generally who have played at least 2 years of Teeball/Instructional Ball or are of the equivalent skill level. Players will develop teamwork, discipline and good sportsmanship in addition to furthering fundamentals through competitive intraleague play. This league is a "travel team" that competes against neighboring towns' teams. Players pitch and catch. Limited base-stealing in this league. Tryouts required.


Instructional Teeball
   For boys and girls generally 5 years to 7 years old. Players concentrate on the fundamentals of catching, batting and throwing. Players hit off a tee, and work up to coaches pitching. No tryout/evaluation required.

U16 Girls Softball
Ages 15-16 For our older teens a division which is also growing rapidly.
Some exceptions will be made for parents that want their child to play at a higher level. A written request needs to be accepted by AYBS in order for girls to move to a higher bracket. AYBS recommends all girls play in their age bracket.


U14 Girls Softball
Ages 13-14 This will be one of our faster growing divisions for the older girls that want to keep playing with their friends.

U12 Girls Softball
Ages 11-12 Girls are on there own pitching. Faster paced game with stealing, bunting and dropped 3rd strike. Tryouts required.

U10 Girls Softball
Ages 9-10 girls pitch with a coach coming in to pitch if they are struggling. Minimal intro. to stealing. Tryouts required.

U8 Instructional Softball
Ages 6-8 coach pitch or pitching machine until later in the season some pitchers may come in to pitch if they have practiced Tryouts required.
