New Playset is INSTALLED! Meet Edward...
The new toddler playground equipment (called "Edward" - in the vendors catalog) was recently installed in the Tykes Towers playground on Pope Road!!
Join us for an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 2nd at 10AM at the playground to celebrate our new piece of equipment. Cookies and punch will be served.
Atkinson Recreation offers many thanks to Vikki Levine for coordinating this effort - selection, fundraising, and installation - she oversaw it all. What a great job - the children will be so happy.
Many thanks to the volunteers that worked tirelessly from early Saturday morning until late into the afternoon on drilling, bolting, leveling, and finally cementing the new playset.
Big thank you's also to Rte 111/Sunoco Dunkin Donuts for providing coffee and donuts in the morning; Cherry Village Pizza for donating pizzas for lunch; Foods Plus for providing sodas and water. All of the volunteers are grateful for your support.

Donations are still needed to help with the costs of the new toddler equipment. Here's your chance to have your family name or business advertisement at the playground and help give our children a more fun and safe place to play!
A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated, and if you contribute at the following levels, your sponsorship will be recognized on a sign as follows:
$300 Donation - Gold Sponsorship - Full-Size Sign
$200 Donation - Silver Sponsorship - Half-Size Sign
$100 Donation - Bronze Sponsorship - Quarter-Size Sign
All contributions of $25 or more will be acknowledged at the playground.
