Athens Little League: All Star Information

Congratulations to all our All Star Teams for great performances in the District 10 All Star Tournament this June. A further round of celebration goes to our 9/10, 10/11, 11/12 and Jr. League teams for advancing to their State Tournaments.Though none completed a State title, we couldn't be prouder of how our kids represented Athens.

All Star Team Selection has begun with players voting for their peers to be a part of the 2012 Athens Little League All Star Team. Athens Little League will be sending 2 Machine Pitch teams this year with a 9/10, 10/11, 11/12 and Jr League Teams in baseball. Athens is proud to be sending 3 softball teams in the 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12 age divisions. The District 10 Tournament will be held in Gainesville, GA this year, starting June 23rd.

Selection to an All Star team is an honor, for we send a small number of the best of the best to represent Athens Little League against similar teams from Oconee County, Monroe, Loganville, Walton Co. and Gainesville.  The tournament is a double-elimination format, with the winners of all but our 7/8 teams moving on to compete in State, Regional and National competition. Every 11/12 Little League team has a chance to play in the actual Little League World Series if they can win their way to the top.
